I don't mind trying it out, but I can't say it doesn't concern me a little that Drapes won't be taking that many faceoffs. It was comforting to see him take the draw in our own zone when the Wings were clinging to a 1 goal lead.

The funny part is that after he was traded to Detroit he just continued to re-sign year after year. If he didn't want to play for the Wings he sure had a funny was of showing it. Aah, totally understandable. If it was between having CI and Dish or Charter digital cable, I would've made the same decision. Charter blows, and I will never go another season again without Center Ice. I watch every single Wings game as well as the majority of the other NHL games on a nightly basis. I wouldn't be able to live without it.

Ack, that is nice. There are so many times I wish I wasn't stuck with the opposing teams feed. Anyway, I'd still rather have digital cable (Time Warner) than DISH any day of the week. But thats a whole other discussion. Nice perk, though.

Before I put this thread to bed, I just want to post my quick thoughts. While I'm ready for *anyone* to beat Federer, the guy is simply a GOD. As I've said before, he's the most dominant athlete of their respective sport, bar none! Did anyone see the comparison between Woods and Federer yesterday? The stats were all pretty similar but what glared out over all was that Federer is only 26 compared to Woods being 31! History in the making people. It may be a little boring, but you have to appreciate what he's doing. Here's hoping Conners and Roddick can figure it out before the Australian.

NN, I've always respected your opinion, but do you honestly believe Yzerman should've been stripped of his Captaincy the year Lids entered the league? Not that this makes any difference seeing as that the Wings Management staff has been able to find diamonds in the rough, but Yzerman was drafted 4th overall compared to Lids' 53rd. So aside from the player and leader Lids has become over the course of his career, what evidence would give you your reasoning for the initial season Lids played in Detroit?
