I don't see him that way. He gets frustrated like any other player out there, but he's always humble about his wins and the opponent he just wiped the floor with. When they asked him how he continues to beat Roddick, his response was, "Every time I play Andy, he's gets better and better. If I don't work harder day-in and day-out, I wouldn't have such luck against him." Those are the comments I'm referring too. Sidenote: Don't you think he's probably getting a little bored being the number 1, and having no one challange him (aside from the Clay Courts). I can see someone like him getting restless. I'm not defending his actions, rather I'm just trying to see it from his POV. Berdych healthy was no guarantee to beat Roddick. It would've been a great match, but Roddick's serve IMO would've been the difference maker late in that match.
-
I wouldn't be too concerned about that.

Darth Federer is beyond a god of his sport. If he didn't suck on clay (meaning only the best clay player in the world can still beat him on this surface), he would've have won the past 11 straight GS titles. He is beyond the best athelete in his respected sport, bar none. Not Woods, Crosby, LT or Lebron can touch the dominance this guy displays. The best part is, he's beyond humble. He's a great champion and a wonderful endorsement for the sport of tennis. Sidenote: Let's Go Roddick!

You know I'm in Matt! I've got a title to defend.

Congrats Doc, I know you gotta be thrilled to see the deal get practically done.

:rotflmao: I'm a huge NFL fan, but that is great! Take that, NBA.

To each is own I guess. I just have the O/U listed because it was right next to the "spread" on the site I went to. A little "Copy & Paste" action. I never bet on football games, other than with guys around work (Packers vs. Bears/Vikings games). However, I certainly wouldn't bet online, and especially on the preseason. Talk about unpredictable..........and degenerate. Sidenote: Last night I dreamt that Mason Crosby won the starting kicker position for the regular season. Prophetic?

Yeah....that's not cluttered at all. Check out the "C" above the "Vancouver" writing.
-
Nice call! I didn't even think about that. Maybe they'll follow suit with the Wings and move the "C" as well. How about underneath the logo? Maybe somewhere on their gloves? Ok, these are officially the worst new jerseys.
-
Are you referring to the Blue/Green color scheme with the Johnny Canuck logo "fan created" Jersey? If so, I completely agree. Either that one, or the Stick & Rink logo with that color scheme would've been great.
-
The color scheme is phenomenal, but the logo/writing is absolutely terrible. The Orca logo has always sucked, and the writing above it looks out of place. Then to make things worse, they put the Rink & Stick logo (which besides the Johnny Canuck logo, is the only Canucks logo I actually like) on both shoulders, when they should've just made that the logo in the center of the jersey. IMO, all Vancouver had to do was make their thirds last season their new everyday unis. However, these are horrendous.

Tonights Matchup: @ The Line: Tennessee -7, with an O/U of 37 Even though its irrelevant, it'd be nice to finish the preseason 3-1.

The woman I used to really like was Davenport. She was always the definition of class.

Did you not pick up on my sarcasm?

Do you think Dats will give Hartigan his #13 as a sign of respect, since Mark is 9 months older?

Seriously, DI? I already know your stance when it comes to Roddick. You and I went 10 rounds back in the Wimbledon thread. Let it go. Sidenote: Hewitt is not going to make the finals. He has to go through Djokovic for that to happen, and with the way he's playing currently, I don't see that happening.
-
Hewitt wins 2, 4 and 2 respectively.

Aaah, Aussie.........I knew either you or I were going to be the ones that started this thread. Both of our boys play today, Hewitt in one hour from now, while Roddick plays tonight at 6:00 CT. Here's hoping Andy can repeat his success from last years Open, but get that final win. Sidenote: Because Roddick got the 5 seed, he'll meet up with Federer in the Quarters (given that they both make it there).

Should Sergei Fedorov's number be retired in the future?
NeverForgetMac25 replied to Chaldean's topic in General
But its pretty hard to argue that it was because of Bourque that they won the Cup. The team was stacked that year, and Borque moved there simply for the reason that it looked like the easiest way to get his name on the cup. Lucky Luc helped us to win it in 2002, but the Wings probably would've won it without him that year. Same thing could be said about Bourque. Again, you're missing my point. There are plenty of guys that have their numbers retired even though they probably shouldn't. The point I'm making is that I wouldn't put it past a team like Columbus to do this simply to have a name in the rafters, and not many people would think about questioning it simply due to the prestigious career Fed's has had. If the Avalanche want to retire Bourque's number for the single season he was there, its no more ridiculous than Columbus doing it, regardless of the Cup. -
Actually, people did trust me with their money throughout the whole "Bernie" shirt escapade during this past year's playoffs. Since I was a CS'er, had a few years of tenure, and I think my post count helped the trust factor a little bit as well, a good amount of people trusted me with their money. I then turned it over without delay so the shirts could be purchased. The transaction went off without a complication. I'm not saying I'm volunteering to do that with a fantasy league, since I will again be in Matt's (as well as 3 Fantasy Football League's), but I might consider it.

Welcome to the boards JL.

As Matt said, I didn't run a league last year. The league I won, was the official one that Matt was the Commish of. Sidenote: The only "game" I ran last year was the Playoff Picks Game.
-
Yeah, but that was the Badgers hockey game, not the NHL. Sidenote: The video for that game absolutely sucked due to piss-poor camera angles.
