True, but they beat the American CBC feed.

I have a HD TV and only a couple of the games are able to be viewed in HD (even though they're broadcasted in it). Like others have said, HD Net shows a couple once every blue moon. You'll get the NBC games in HD, as well as Versus if you get that network in HD (generally by paying extra for it), but other than that, the coverage is pretty thin.

I sure hope they have enough booze and cops in Sweden.

Right now, I'm confirmed for Week 6 against Washington. I should be able to make atleast 1 or 2 more, but I'll know more as the season nears. Sidenote: The company I work for owns 1/2 a box (25 yard line, South End Zone, Visitors side) but rented it out last year and this year. I'm looking forward to getting it back next season, since I generally get to spend 2-3 games per season in it. That being said, while its nice and comfortable, its still nothing like being outside with the fans of Lambeau. Maybe its because I grew up sitting outside, but to me that's so special and a totally different feeling than being inside. Like you said, nothing like being at Lambeau Field for a game. The mystique alone sets it apart from all other stadiums.

For anyone that's interested, I had an absolute blast at the game Saturday night. Every thing seemed to go right for the Pack while nothing worked out for the Seahawks. The only regret I have was not being able to see Holmgren's facial expressions as the game wore on. I heard his looks just got more and more pissed off. Edit: DP

Packer487 basically summed up most of what I would have said, but I'm going to disagree with him on Delhomme. I don't see anything too special out of him other than his breakout season. Nothing since. Romo has more potential, but at this point (which I said over and over, and which is key to this debate) he is not better. Great start midseason last year, and finished the season in the sh*tter. Trent Green........Please tell me you're kidding. Sidenote: For a guy that was so sure Favre wasn't better than half the QB's in the league, your numbers don't seem to support your theory. Hey Packer487, before I forget, I'm going to the game Saturday night!

The Starting Line - Direction

Ack, I generally stay away when people point out things that are blatantly not true, even though their ignorance and pride keep them posting, anyway. As a result, here goes: Is Favre better at this point than: Steve McNair - 50-50, Debatable at this point in time J.P. Losman - Yes Carson Palmer - No Charlie Frye - Yes Jay Cutler - Yes, at this point in time Matt Schaub - Yes Peyton Manning - No Byron Leftwich - Yes Damon Huard - Yes Trent Green - Yes Tom Brady - No, But that hurts to say for personal reasons Chad Pennington - Yes Josh McCown - Yes Ben Roethlisberger - Yes, and he proved it last year Philip Rivers - No, simply based on SD's weapons Vince Young - No, ONLY because he can run phenomenally. But that doesn't make him a better QB. Matt Leinart - Yes Joey Harrington - Yes Jake Delhomme - Yes Rex Grossman - Yes Tony Romo - 50-50, Totally depends on this season John Kitna - Yes Tarvaris Jackson - Yes Drew Brees - No Eli Manning - Tough one because of Eli's potential, but to play devils advocate I'll say No Donovan McNabb - No Marc Bulger - No, but that hurts too Alex Smith - Yes Matt Hasselbeck - No Jeff Garcia - Yes Jason Campbell - Yes So, I have him listed as better than 19 startings QB's in the league right now, and thats not even including the 50-50 toss-ups. Last I checked, that was better than half the league. You tell me that I'm wrong, and give me your reasons for each QB that you disagree with my assessment.

We can........its called Center Ice. I know money can be tight for people, but I just can't imagine not forking over $150.00 a year to watch every single hockey game. To me its worth every dime.
-
Hate to break it to you, but your ridiculous arguments are what gave Packer487 the win. Sidenote: Last I checked, Packer487 wasn't really talking any smack. He was more saying that the Packers have a shot of being decent this year. It's pretty different than the way you've come off in this thread, which is prick-like.
-
Sidenote: Packer487 wins against Detroit Ian.

Did you understand the post that you quoted me on even the least bit? I basically answered all the questions you re-posed in this post. Once again, is Favre the QB he once was: no. Is he still better than half the QB's in the league: Yes. Also, don't get your hopes up on my comparing Favre with Kitna. He doesn't even belong in the same sentence as Favre. I merely brought up Kitna because he was close in age to Favre. Nothing more.

They are a little too busy for my liking. That, and if they shrunk down the logo to be about 2/3 of the current size, I would like it more.

To me, 8 games is too much. I can't stand when the Wings play on Versus. I'd much rather have the Center Ice feed. It always sucks being able to watch them on FSN and then once in a while seeing them stuck on that crappy network. Sorry, I've just never been a fan of OLN/Versus since seeing the first game on the network.

We signed who? Just kidding, its been a long day. Good minimum contract signing. Meech will be a solid depth D-man.

'C' & 'A' to move to right side of Wings sweater
NeverForgetMac25 replied to Rice's topic in General
I have a feeling the move of the C/A's will be debated on LGW and all other forums for the rest of time. -
What a perfect final hurrah image for him:

Homerism aside, Lidstrom is far and away the better player than Jagr. The fact that people try to legitimize that argument is ridiculous.

Juggling isn't hard once you get the hang of it, but balancing while doing it has to be difficult as hell.
-
Aaaaah, I just got the email too!
-
I've said it in OsGod's thread, but I am willing to buy 5-7 games worth of tickets from people that have season tickets. If anyone is interested, let me know.

While I hear what your saying, you'd almost be hard pressed not to find a player to "win it for" on every professional team in every sport. Seriously, if you wrote down every NHL team in the league, I bet you could find atleast 1 player on each team that would give a team motiviation to "win it for".
-
I don't watch the show, but I watched that episode because it was posted on LGW a couple days before it aired. Basically, one of the characters talks about how the Red Wings are the greatest sports franchise in history. It was worth the half hour just to see that.

I know others have already asked you this, but I am anxiously awaiting a response as to why you feel Minnesota should lose their team. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
