He doesn't have as much stock right now as he probably will before the trade deadline. Who's to say SJ wants to move him anyway? If you ask me, they'll hang on to him and see what kind of progress they make with him throughout the season, and the trade deadline will be the final decision time on his future. Toskala isn't going anywhere this offseason.

Biron already signed an extension with Philly and Toskala still has another year under his current contract. They're not going anywhere. Who from the Wings are you going to trade for him? He's under contract for the 07/08 season.

Not for the tag that will surely come with Giguere. While he'd be great for the Wings since their team defense is so strong (thus limiting his need to move side-to-side), he'll be too pricey. I'd rather have Dom back at $2.5 million next year and take our chances with Howard in a couple seasons, than give up $6+ million on Giguere.

Now that the Wings season is over, I can officially get excited for the Packers to start. Don't get me wrong, I'll be watching the SCF's intently, but once the Wings season has concluded, I start looking forward to the Packers. Their first preseason game is on August 11th @ Pittsburgh. Countdown until then: 80 Days! Sidenote: Damn I miss Red Wing hockey already and it hasn't even been a day yet.

I know people are bummed, but I hope there are atleast some all-around hockey fans that will still post their picks. ANA/OTT - Ducks in 7

I almost always cheer for the Western Conference, and if it weren't for Pronger, I'd have no reservations at this point in cheering for the Ducks. I guess I just want Pronger to test positive for 'roids and have the league decide to not allow his name to be put on the Cup as a result. That way I could cheer for the West in peace.

QFT Jimmy needs one more season. If he isn't ready after that, it'll be time to look elsewhere, but I'm hoping he'll be the guy of the future in Detroit.

It was nice to see Dats step up the way he did after getting his payday. While I still worry about the length of the contract in relation to how much he got, he definitely alleviated some of my biggest fears with his playoff performance.

While I appreciate everything Lang has done for the Wings (especially his clutch playoff goals), I think its time to move on for Lang. Before, I was all about keeping him if he decided to take a paycut, but now, I just don't see him fitting into Babs' system. Thank you Lang for everything, and best of luck to you.

It's hockey, 0f course I'll watch. But that doesn't mean I won't be numb throughout the entire series.

For the right price, I would absolutely take Dom back. He had a great season, and if they continue to play him the way he did, barring an accident, there's no reason he couldn't stay healthy.
