Except for the fact that the series score was the same and game 5 ended the same way as in the '02 WCF's. That's the similarity people are talking about, and it is a similarity. Obviously, it doesn't mean that history will repeat itself, but you don't have to rain on people's parade all the time.

Sure Steve. It was definitely Bertuzzi's fault that the Wings lost yesterday, seeing as that he wasn't in the game when both of Anaheim's goals were scored. Get a clue, Bert's been great these past few games. Just because you despise Bert, doesn't mean he's as worthless as you like to think he is. -
On top of how he handled himself after the game, he's been great for the past couple months. While people have noticeably seen how good he's been since the playoffs began, he was just as solid in the final two months of the regular season. Chin up Lilja, we'll get 'em tomorrow!

I would hardly consider Lidstrom's stick deflecting the puck like that a "ticky-tacky mistake". Lids was at no fault there. Maybe you were just referring to the Lilja play. That being said, I would completely agree that the Wings have beaten themselves these past two games. If they eliminate the mental errors, and continue to play like they have, they'll take games 6 & 7.

While I understand the sentiment, I cringe seeing these threads until the season is over. It's almost like an acknowledgment that the season has concluded. Here's hoping it hasn't. Take these next 2 boys! -

Don't re-sign Dom? You've got to be kidding with how well he's been this season and including how much he's being paid. Also, I'd take Schneider back in a heartbeat given the right amount. -
This team is fully capable of winning the next two games. I'm bummed, but I still feel the Wings are far from out of it.

I really think this team is looking at an '02 repeat. To eerily familiar with the way this game ended, and where the series is at. Dom will close the door over the next 2 games. Do it for Lilja!
