In all truth, I'm not as concerned with the Ducks offense. I feel the Sharks posed a much greater threat, but their defense is better than the Sharks and Flames combined. That being said, its clear that they'll use their shutdown line against Z-Dats-Homer, and the Wings will use their shutdown line against Kunitz-McDonald-Selanne. With these two lines going up against eachother, it eliminates the following lines for the Wings: Z-Dats-Homer (who'll still chip in a goal here and there) Cleary-Drapes-Malts That leaves Bertuzzi, Filppula, Calder, Lang, Samuelsson and Franzen. These are the guys, IMO that will make or break this series. You can bank on Neids or Pronger being on the ice during all of the Z-Dats-Homer shifts, which will pit the other against one of these two remaining lines. It's during the next shift that the Wings will need to attack. Now granted, the Ducks could play Huskins-DiPenta when the Wings have their shutdown line out against the the Ducks top line, but my guess is that Carlyle will want to play Pronger with that line (because of his shot) to generate offense. If that happens, whichever of those two remaining lines are on the ice for the Huskins-DiPenta shift will need to be the difference makers in the very short amount of PT those two get (FYI: Between Neids and Pronger they play around 53-54 minutes per game). Both of these teams will play excellent D, and have outstanding goaltending. I'd be willing to bet we can look forward to a lot of 3-4 goal maximum games throughout the series. If the Wings are to move on, those aforementioned lines I spoke of, will need to generate a fair amount of offense. Edit: Spelling

The Ducks goal horn has always reminded me of the "Brown" note. I've always been partial to the classic horn that the Wings and a bunch of others use. Sidenote: For those of you that don't know what the Brown note is, its a sound that makes all those listening s*** their pants.

No worries, we're used to it. We gotten these types of trolls from the Flames and the Sharks. I welcome other teams fans, as I enjoy their unique perspective, but unfortunately there's always going to be the trolls that come around.

Very true, and if Dom were to stay next season and Ozzie stays healthy, Jimmy won't get the experience he needs in order to be a starter for the 2008/2009 season. Here's hoping the Wings win the cup and if Dom decides to retire, the Wings roll with an Ozzie/Howard tandem.

The sh*t of it is, if the Wings win the Cup, I think Dom will retire. If they don't he might come back. Damned if we do, damned if we don't. I'll have the Cup and take our chances.

Thats fine by me. I just don't see Howard being ready for another year, and Dom will be a great alternative. Holland and I are in complete agreement when it comes to Cheli.....keep signing him to one year deals as long as he wants, and his performance doesn't drop dramatically. Edit: Spelling
