NFM here. It's been a good game thus far. Here's hoping the Rangers pull this one off.

I DVR'ed the game, and have watched that goal countless times already, and it was clearly in.

:rotflmao: You've got to be kidding me. I understand sour grapes, but that's just stupid.

I was watching a little bit of the Tampa Bay/Atlanta game last night and noticed something "interesting". Check out the logo at Center Ice. I know this image is tough to see, but it was the best one I could find. For those of you that are having trouble, it says "Hockey Bay". Now, I'm not trying to be arrogant, so don't flame me. However, does anyone else kind of find this as a really lame attempt at making Tampa Bay out to be hockey crazed city. No offense, but it's not like Tampa Bay has any competition for distinction as "Hockey Bay" seeing as that they are the only "Bay" in the NHL. Thoughts........

OTT scores, and takes the 2-1 lead

I know I'm late in posting here, but . Schneids situation kept me from posting at the end of the game, as I was frantically looking for info. Horrible news. However, great win and an unbelievable game by our 5 D men, and the Z-Dats-Homer line!

I'm watching, and hoping for the Sens. The Devils annoy me. Still in sheer pain about Schneider. :nonono:
-
He was playing much better the last couple months leading up to the playoffs (especially throughout March). He'll need to be even better now that Schneids is out for the playoffs.

Schneider: OUT with Broken Wrist

SOB That really sucks! -
Read a little deeper in the thread..........particularly my Post #8.

Once again, I just found this to be a lame gimmick. Nothing more. The fact that they are a non-traditional hockey market is irrelevant. No need to read into something that isn't there and something I didn't intend for.

Round 1 Standings: Post your picks for Round 2 here please! Make sure they are in before Wednesday (4-25) at 7:00 ET. West: (1) Detroit Red Wings vs. (5) San Jose Sharks (2) Anaheim Ducks vs. (3) Vancouver Canucks East: (1) Buffalo Sabres vs. (6) New York Rangers (2) New Jersey Devils vs. (4) Ottawa Senators NOTICE: If you are going to copy and paste your picks please copy the following example and use it as a guide: DET/SJ - *Winner Team Name & Series score* ANA/VAN - *Winner Team Name & Series score* BUF/NYR - *Winner Team Name & Series score* NJD/OTT - *Winner Team Name & Series score* For those of your that don't remember the rules, I have posted them below: Each round you will pick a winner for each series. For every correct series winner you predict, you will receive 5 points (0 if you pick the incorrect team). Also to aid with tiebreakers you will also pick how many games the losing team in each series will win. Given that the team you picked to win actually does win the series, you will then have the opportunity to receive up to 3 bonus points. For every game you are off for the losing teams actual win total, I will subtract 1 bonus point. After each round, every player will then pick again based on the teams the made through to the next round. Whoever has the most points at the end of the season, wins Playoff bragging rights. If any of your are confused, I'll do a mock picks example: NFM#25's Mock Picks Detroit 4-2 over Calgary Anaheim 4-3 over Minnesota Vancouver 4-3 over Dallas San Jose 4-2 over Nashville Buffalo 4-1 over NYI New Jersey 4-1 over Tampa Bay Atlanta 4-3 over NYR Ottawa 4-3 over Pittsburgh Let's say this happened in the first round: Detroit won 4-3 over Calgary Minnesota won 4-3 over Anaheim Vancouver won 4-3 over Dallas San Jose won 4-3 over Nashville Buffalo won 4-0 over NYI NJ won 4-1 over Tampa Bay NYR won 4-3 over Atlanta Ottawa won 4-0 over Pittsburgh Here's how my point total would work out: DET/CAL = 5 Points + 2 Bonus Points ANA/MIN = 0 Points VAN/DAL = 5 Points + 3 Bonus Points SJ/NSH = 5 Points + 2 Bonus Points BUF/NYI = 5 Points + 2 Bonus Points NJ/TB = 5 Points + 3 Bonus Points NYR/ATL = 0 Points OTT/PIT = 5 Points + 0 Bonus Points Total first round score: 42

Not quite where I was going with it.

- In game 1, Ottawa was up 4-0, 16:39 into the first, and basically played prevent D from there on. As a result, they only mustered up a 5-4 victory. - The won game 3, 2-0 and dominated the play for the majority of the game. - Game 4 was tighter but Ottawa still came away with the 3-2 win, and never trailed in the game. In regards to my initial comments, Brodeur has not been himself this round. Sure he's making a good amount of the tough saves, but then he allows a flukey one, in what is starting to seem like at least one a game. It's just not the typical Brodeur.
-
Also, for NJ to move on, they're going to have to win 3 straight. The way they're playing, I don't see it happening.
-
I hear what you're saying but you're kind of contradicting yourself with the bolded comments. That being said, I give a lot of credit to the Lightning ownership. They've done a great job at getting fans in the seats. I just found it to be kind of a lame gimmick, nothing more.

No way he'd sign for that, and no way any other team in the league wouldn't give him that. While he hasn't played like his old self in while, IMO teams will still take a $4+ mil chance on him for a couple years. Remember, the cap is going up to $47-$48 mil next year. Sidenote: Sorry, I almost forgot.

Now all NSH needs to do is add some size to the goonery.
