To me this is great. IMO, even if you feel your team can beat your opponent in the playoffs, I would never voice it. All Guerin and Wilson are doing is adding fuel to the Wings fire. To me, it shows very little class, and if the Wings are fortunate enough to move on, it'll sting even worse.

Not barring some crazy Caddy Shack business it wouldn't. Trust me, my loyalty to the Wings definitely puts me out of the scapegoat category. I was in complete agony until the puck dropped last October. Unfortunately for some, its a little late for that. I would be willing to do it in the subsequent rounds if everyone else likes this idea.

I know. That was the point of my post. I've often told peole that argue to have an NHL team brought to Milwaukee that they're crazy. I would love it, but for some reason the peanut butter (Wisconsin) inbetween the two slices of bread (Michigan, Minnesota) isn't part of the sandwhich. Aside from NFM#25, there just isn't enough fan support in Wisconsin. Oh well, Atleast I can drive to either Chicago or Minnesota in less 4 hours to catch games.

To be fair to everyone else that got their picks in before the first game of the playoffs started, I only accepted your picks for the the 4 playoff series' that hadn't started before your inital post. If you loved the Weekend Picks game that Aussie_Wing had, you'll love this playoff edition. Mods, if you deem this as worthy, I would really appreciate you pinning this thread. Here's how it'll work: Each round you will pick a winner for each series. For every correct series winner you predict, you will receive 5 points (0 if you pick the incorrect team). Also to aid with tiebreakers you will also pick how many games the losing team in each series will win. Given that the team you picked to win actually does win the series, you will then have the opportunity to receive up to 3 bonus points. For every game you are off for the losing teams actual win total, I will subtract 1 bonus point. After each round, every player will then pick again based on the teams the made through to the next round. Whoever has the most points at the end of the season, wins Playoff bragging rights. Maybe I'm having a brainfart, but didn't the Wings win Game 4 of the '97 WCF 6-0? I know COL won Game 5, by a 6-0 score, but I could've sworn DET won 6-0 in Game 4. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone......

Imagine being in Green Bay, WI. If the local newspaper has something about hockey on the last page of the sports section, its a good day. Obviously, Green Bay Packers news dominates all sports coverage in the area. While I love the Packers, I would love to have an equal amount of hockey reporting (actually even a little more than equal when it comes to hockey). Edit: Clarity

Unfortunately for you, that's what happens when you receive no points for a series while half the others receive atleast 5 points. I picked VAN in 7 games, so it boosted my score by 8, and moved me from 13th to 5th.

While I obviously prefer earlier games, I'll still be up watching every second of every game. I was up until midnight on Sunday (having to wake up at 5:45), and I'm just used to it. Part of being a fan.
