This sums up my argument from a page ago. While some Nashville players are getting a bad rep around the league, its questionable plays like these that people get outraged from simply due to the fact that there has been a history of similar incidents. On this particular play, I feel the knee-on-knee was unintentional, but the elbow was most certainly not. To me, this is irrelevant. It doesn't matter whether it was Cheechoo or Lilja, anyone that intentionally goes knee-on-knee with someone, regardless of who is on the receiving end, should be dealt with in the same manner. *Again, I'm not saying this in regards to the Hartnell incident last night, rather just when an intentional knee-on-knee hit takes place.*

This is a great discussion! Aside from Conroy, Yelle puts up a pretty decent percentage against our boys. Matching up here will be so key to the series, especially on the PP.

The start of playoffs coincides with our first Cup

I wish I could find parallels like that. -
True, but the way Bab's says he's been skating around for the past 3 weeks, you gotta think he's "completely" healed, otherwise info like this probably wouldn't have been released.

Smart move by the Wings organization to keep that news quiet until Z returned. That being said, I think it was more of a ploy to confuse the other team rather than calm the fans.

To me, it didn't look like Hartnell intentionally went Knee-on-Knee with Cheechoo. I will agree with Legionnaire's assessment in regards to the knee, but that being said the following image is very incriminating in regards to the elbow: The knee-on-knee doesn't bother me, but the elbow is quite unnecessary.

Wings_Dynasty and CrossCheck, To be fair to the rest of the players that joined before the first game started, I can only accept your picks for the 4 other matchups for this round. However, feel free to continue on with the game, and post the remaining rounds as well.

Thanks to everyone for playing. We have quite a bit of participation, so it should be very exciting. Best of luck to everyone (especially me ).

I remember watching this game. The game started early (6:00'ish Central Time) and ended the next day. Great game, and one I'll never forget.

Dear Lang, Please continue to be one of the most consistent scorers for the Wings in the playoffs, as you have since you've been here. Sidenote: Good Luck Dats. Make it happen.
-
My heart couldn't be pounding anymore than it already is. Wings win 3-1, with an EN goal by Dats (< that's right). LET'S GO RED WINGS! LET'S GO RED WINGS!

Dear Brett Hull, Stop Talking. Regards, NFM#25

Whoever did the Nacho Libre image is great at photoshop. I'm good, but that's awesome.

Regehr hurt his knee last Thursday against the Sharks According to the article, he hasn't skated since.

And the pendulum shifts back.

Perfectly stated, and I agree. And don't misunderstand my quoting you initially. It's just that there are so many posters that are shouting for Bert to toughen' up without even knowing his status. Given what you put in this past post, you're not one of them. My main point is that I highly doubt Bert is the type of player that would sit himself out if his neck hurt a little bit. If he's given clearance, and he doesn't feel like he was in a car wreck, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he'll play. Why speculate how tough he is or isn't without even knowing whether he was given medical clearance or not, and then on top of it whether he chose to sit out or play. Seems kind of pointless to me.
-
I do understand that you realize he first has to pass his exams, but when has it ever been determined that Bert has sat himself out of a game due to a strained neck or something? Who here has any concrete proof that Bert is doing this or has done this in the past. It's all speculation. That's my point.
-
Who's to say its Bert's decision whether he can go tomorrow or not?
-
He's got something to prove to himself, which is exactly what I want in our starting goaltender.
-
:rotflmao: Hilarious, because I was thinking the same thing. You forgot to add that he's late for dinner.
-
Babs is fricken hilarious. He's so impatient with getting Z back in the lineup. He's like a kid who was given his favorite toy 3 weeks ago, but was told he couldn't play with it until tomorrow.

So in a sense, you are automatically given 3 bonus points, but you can lose some (if not all) of them based on how close you are to the actual amount of games won by the losing club.
-
Thanks GS&T for bringing that to my attention. I can see how that was confusing. I've made the change in my initial post to this: This should clear things up, but feel free to post if you have any further questions.

Who am I kidding, some of you can't get along without it:

Oh well, it would've been nice, but its not the end of the world. No need for me to bust out the panic button. Look on the bright side: It's SAMMY-TIME!
