Why is it so obvious? If the WIngs shoot first, why wouldn't you want your best player to start the SO out on a strong note? If Dats goes third, and the Wings are down 2-0 going to the final shooter, Dats doesn't even have a chance to rectify things. Is should be obvious.

Yeah, the Wings sure sucked last night. Outplaying them the entire game, and just getting unlucky on scoreboard. Good god, some of your aren't satisfied unless the Wings win 6-0 every single game. Newsflash, the WIngs can and will lose a game here and there.

I'm sure the ice girls clean the opposing goalies net every TV timeout they get, and leave the Isle's crease alone. They're probably instructed to do so since it can "help" the puck sneak in a little easier. The reason is clear why the ice girls clean the opposing sides crease, but now that its become an issue multiple times, its probably time to stop. Sidenote: I agree that the players have no right to be jackasses (towards any teams non-direct personnel), but the ice girls should either clear both creases or neither of them to help alleviate the problem at the root of it.

I know a lot of people are saying that it all depends on the playoffs, and I agree that will have a major impact on Bert's status with the Wings after this year. I would love to have him stay. With how strong he is with puck, his physical play, and to top it off the ability to score, he is a tremendous asset. Unfortunately, if the Wings win it all this season, I don't see him staying. Sidenote: Atleast Kenny has the right idea with the direction of this team. He's done a great job this season addressing his team's needs, and win or lose in the playoffs, I think he'll continue the trend he started this year.

Even if there was a b2b game for the Wings in the finals (which there won't be), and Dom is still in net, there is no way in hell Babcock would put in a cold Chris Osgood. The whole point of Ozzie getting one of the two nights in the b2b's is that it would take away the unnecessary strain on Dom's groin. Babs wanted to ensure that Dom was in top shape heading into the playoffs, which he is (*knocks on wood*), but now that the playoffs are here, you can bet he'll start every game even if a b2b presents itself.

Maybe its just me, but the booing seems twice as bad this season as it did in the past. To me, its gotten really annoying, and I feel people really need to get over it. The sad part is, most people don't even know the real reason their upset. To me, Feds deserves applause and praise, not boos. Just NFM's 2 cents.

I wouldn't mind seeing this happen. That being said, if Calgary won out, they would still need Minnesota to go no better than 0-0-2 because of the first tiebreaker. One win by Minnesota overtheir final two, and 1 win by Detroit, and its Calgary in the first round.

As of a few days ago, I didn't expect him back before Game 1 anyway. Sure it sucks that he won't get a chance to get some game action in before the playoffs, but it could be worse. He'll be suited up come Game 1.

I just wish the dates were locked down. NFM needs home Saturday-Sunday games since its a 8-9 hour drive from Green Bay. Once the dates are locked in, if there's a game on one of those two days in Detroit, than I can get tickets. The problem is that the games will be sold out by the time the schedule is released. Oh well, at least I have a couple contacts now that can hook me up with some seats even on later notice.

Bert looks fine out there, and definitely seems to be at 100%. That being said, back injuries are tricky. You never know when a goofy hit will end up causing some pain. Here's hoping it doesn't happen!
