Oh god.........this thread is going to go to a real bad place very quickly.

Truly Inspiring!

Not me! I had him starting last night in Matt's LGW fantasy hockey league. I'm winning in the Championship right now by a score of 5-1. Just sayin..........

Agreed. These are exactly the types of goals you need in the playoffs. With how tight those games are played, you need those tough, hard-working goals to put your team over the top. The Wings didn't have those last year (or the two before that), and thats a big reason they were eliminated.

Babcock having "most fun as a Red Wing coach"

Wouldn't it be crazy if the Wings went on to a deep playoff run, and this game (which marked the 10-year anniversary of the Avalanche Brawl) was looked at as the game that bonded the team? *Plays Twilight Zone Music* -
Thats a great idea. *Yoink* <That's me stealing your idea.

This isn't something that Bowman does consistently though, is it?

I'm going to go with 31 and then another drought of 37.

What do we think about Bertuzzi replacing Holmstrom on the ZDH line?
NeverForgetMac25 replied to sean's topic in General
I like this, but I'm going to switch up the third and fourth line. Until Cleary gets his scoring touch back, let him get time with Drapes and Malts as part of our shutdown line. That being said, it might be difficult for Cleary to get his scoring touch back on a line with Drapes and Malts. -

IMO, Bert should be on the second line. It'll help balance out our attack. Dats-Z-Homer was on fire before Z went out, and I definitely think we should give that the nod before trying anything else. -
God willing, make it be Samuelsson.
-
Keep waiting. Here's hoping Dats-Z-Homer gets rekindled.

Is Versus a standard Cable channel in Detroit? It is in Green Bay, and seems to be everywhere in Wisconsin that has Digital Cable. For me I'd prefer the game to be on Center Ice rather than Versus, but as long as I get the game I don't care. Sorry for those that don't.

This wil be a huge week for the Wings, as well as those other three we play. I expect these games to be fast-paced without a ton of physical play. I can see both teams backing off a bit in that department in preperation for the playoff grind. Call it a hunch.

The thing thats funny about OTB interviews is that the questions are so random, you'd swear the interviewer is drunk. Edi: Grammar

Wow.....unbelievable that it was a decade ago today. I'll never forget that game. -
I'd rather have him play the last game of the regular season (maybe the last two) at most. No need to rush him back, especially with how major of a factor he'll be towards the playoff run. Nonetheless, great news.

I know I'm a little late in stating this, but you know who I think needs to go? Its the people that start these types of threads when the Wings are in the midst of a losing streak, and then say nothing of the sort when they're winning.
-
Yes, he retired this past summer, but I just want to start a late thread thanking him for what he's done for me, and the rest of the fans of Detroit. I just got done watching the 1/2 ceremony, and now I'm watching the 97 championship video (at 3:09 in the morning), and Stevie deserves accolades still. Stevie Y, you are the one that got me into hockey, and the one that taught me how to be a great leader. Post in here what Stevie Y has done for you................

Playoff slogans as a whole are lame, IMO. Marketing ploy to make some money. That is all.

The more I watch him these past few months, the more I want to let him walk. At this time of the season, I always pay extra close attention to the Wings that have their contracts up in July. Schneider has not impressed at all as of late, and makes too many mistakes in his own zone. For me, I'd take him back, but for a reduced price. If he doesn't want to sign for $2.5, he can go elsewhere as far as I'm concerned. Edit: Grammar
