3/4/2007 Red Wings vs. Avalanche Pictures
NeverForgetMac25 replied to NeverForgetMac25's topic in General
Yeah, we had a blast. Unfortunate outcome to the game, but what do you do? I didn't get to see the GDT at all (although I heard it was more ridiculous than ever), but Schneider was definitely the goat Sunday afternoon (not Osgood), and the refs missed some pretty big stuff from the 2nd period on. No more than a hundred. -

Sorry for bringing back this past thread, but Wildwings44 and I were discussing this on our way to Hockeytown for the game on Sunday, and we thought of another good one. How to play the point on a powerplay, by Jason Williams. Please post some more, this thread is hilarious!

NFM#25 and Wildwings44 Autograph Session
NeverForgetMac25 replied to NeverForgetMac25's topic in General
I don't know......Bantam level in Greeen Bay, WI is pretty coveted as far as autograph's go. Are you sure your autograph is worth more than mine? Please learn what the word sarcasm means! -
Well if you want them that is. NFM#25 and Wildwings44 will be making the trip to Detroit this weekend for the Wings/Avalanche game. We'll be rolling into Detroit late Saturday evening, and will be looking to go out and have some fun. The first (and only) time I've been to Detroit, I had a blast in Greek Town and the Casino, and I'm looking forward to something of the like again. First and foremost, who is going to be going to the game Sunday afternoon (3/4 @ 12:30 ET)? If so, does anyone want to meet Wildwings44 and I for some grub before the game? Also, for those who just want to have a fun Saturday night on the town, and live in the area, post here, and we'll figure something out. Cheers, and we're looking forward to seeing some of you at the game.

Ooh Williams.........I hope you enjoy it!

Hey Everyone, This has been a great start thus far! Lot's of fun to watch!

He also got a 10-minute game misconduct for not having his diaper pinned up. Another one of the "new" NHL rules! Edit: Grammar

Sidenote: Do you think Lang is still ready for the 2006 Playoffs?

Chelios isn't hurt......he's a healthy scratch. They are resting him for the playoffs. Why would the Wings want to let the rest of the nhl on to what their injury situation is? Let other teams focus and prepare for the team as if all the Wings might play. That way, they don't completely know who to prepare for. That's standard in pro sports, especially as the playoffs near. You never want the opposition to know whats going on with your player's injuries for fear that they may attack the "problem" area. Edit: Spelling

Not the best thing to read while I'm in the office. Nonetheless, I laughed my ass off!

Did you not read my post right above yours?

Mirror image of last season's record?
NeverForgetMac25 replied to ProfessorLidstrom5's topic in General
Not to be the rain on your parade, but the Wings aren't going to finish with 18 consecutive victories (19 if you count Tuesday's tilt with the Hawks). I would be more than satisfied if they finished the season 52-22-8. -
And now it won't happen thanks to you!
-
Aaaah Greektown! I will see you tomorrow night! Sorry, just really looking forward to the Wings/Avalanche game!

Ask, and you shall receive! I'm not gonna be concerned in the least unless Dom is still out a week from now.

This is getting ridiculous.

Bertuzzi impresses Babcock in first practice
NeverForgetMac25 replied to Louisville's topic in General
Proof? What does that say about people that are ambidextrous? Sidenote: It must be very, very slight brain-damage if anything. Some of the most brilliant human beings were left-handed (I.E. Albert Einstein) -

I noticed this more so than anything against Chicago. I was telling my wife how fun it was to watch the Wings play that style of hockey. I think a lot of it had to do with the amount of young blood in the lineup Tuesday night. The Wings had a bunch of kids up that were fighting to prove that they belong. Hopefully that (as well as the addition of Bert and Calder) gets the normal roster excited to play that style of hockey come playoff time. Just think, a smooth-passing team that can play gritty, and has practically all the elements. Sounds great!

Than why didn't he in the 7 other games Calgary played against Vancouver that season? That was the first of 8 meetings in the 05/06 campaign, and if Dion was dwelling on it, I'm sure he would have done something over the remainder of the season. ................Now, its a year and four months later.

Bertuzzi impresses Babcock in first practice

Here's hoping he doesn't push it to come back before he's ready. He should be a force for the Wings, but it won't help if he goes out in the first round. Take your time Bert. The Wings have plenty of President's Trophies these past few years. -
Exactly what I was thinking. With the month he had, it would have been a crime to make it anyone else.
