I would never want to meet the "genius" that came up with that theory! :nonono:

Even though I'm one of Mac's biggest fans, I don't believe he's the answer. I would be all for adding a Lapointe-type of player, but I would want the DMac from 5 years ago, rather than the current version. Sidenote: I love you DMac. Here's hoping you get back to form this upcoming season.

For me, it interferes with Friday Night Lights and Lost, but that's the miracle of DVR. I'll watch those two shows after the Wings game has concluded. Priorities people! -
Ask and you shall receive.

2/21 GDT: vs. Chicago Blackhawks, 7:30pm

Here's hopoing Khabi is starting tonight. If that's the case, the game should be over by the 10 minute mark of the 1st. -
Probably not on his ass. Just a thought.
-
I was always in favor of a Bubble Hockey game between the two captains to decide the extra point rather than a shootout.
-
Here's another thought. What happens if a player draws blood on a high sticking penalty? Do they award the team a 1-minute double minor, making the penalty worth 2 minutes total? Or do they give them the extra 2 minutes for drawing blood, bringing it to a 3 minute total penalty? Stupid.... And that's what you're looking for when you watch hockey? Easier scoring? Since when does easier scoring automatically = exciting hockey? Truthfully, some of the best games I've seen this season have ended up 1-0 with a ton of flow to the game. That's just as exciting (if not more) than a 6-5 game with up and down action.

Unfortunately for him and the Caps he is just going through a little slump. However, as you said, he's still 4th in goals and 10th in scoring. Not too shabby (like Harrison Ford being a quarter Jewish).
-
He must be lazy and he must suck! That's the only conclusion I can come to.
-
I question the validity of Grigs in there, but the first rounder sounds accurate. Edit: Spelling

This is what I like to hear.........Options. Insert *Pull The Trigger, Kenny* below.

I completely disagree. Crosby may end up scoring as much as Gretzky, he may not, but to think that no one will ever break Gretzky's records is naive. It took decades for someone to break the home run record for baseball (of which only 1 of the 3 that did it was clean), but still it was broken. Someday, someone will break Gretzky's record, its just a matter of time.

Then those people aren't real Wings fans. If anyone seriously doesn't want Dats to have a stellar post-season, I wouldn't even waste my time debating with them.
-
Who's Crosby? Yeah, that "curve" is nuts! He must have a hell of a nice backhand shot.
-
Of course not, I know you know the answer. And you are right with this statement. However, I responded to you because you quoted me in your response. Nothing more. I would have done the same to anyone else that quotes me.

Don't take what I was saying the wrong way, because I don't think what you post on a regular basis is ridiculous. It was just that statement comparing Lid's post-season career to Dat's. You are 100% correct that Lids had a crappy post-season last year, but all I'm saying, is that Lids has proved time and time again to be a solid playoff performer. You can't honestly tell me that Dats has had similar playoff success to that of Lidstrom, can you? Sidenote: To me, it does matter if they lose in the finals, but it is more understandable than losing in the first round. Everyone knows the West is much more physical than the East. If the Wings can battle all the way to the cup and lose, I would be pissed, but it will be a little more settling than another first round exit. Because BB91 brought it up.
-
Guerin would probably take MacDonald's number (31).
-
You're missing the point. It's not that I expect a cup every single year. That is very unrealistic, but 3 early exits from the playoffs when the Wings have had one of the top spots, is what the Wings consider unsuccessful. Sidenote: I hope you're right and Dats does step up this post season. On top of that (if he does step up), I hope he signs a 4 year / $4.5 - $5 million deal. I understand your frustration with some people's opinion of Dats, but please god tell me you don't mean this. If you do, its one of the most ridiculous things I've heard around here. Lids had one truly poor post-season showing in his career opposed to Dats who is still looking for his first strong showing. It's not that people are favoring certain players, its that you're comparing apples to oranges when you talk about Lid's and Dat's post-season careers.

While I don't want to see Hudler go, the reason I'm ok with this is because we already have a few Hudler-types on this team. The Wings aren't shy of players like him, but Bertuzzi is definitely the type of player the Wings are missing. Pull the trigger Kenny. Jiri, I'll be watching your career unfold though.
