I want to kill Ted Thompson. For those of you who don't know who he is; he's the Green Bay Packers GM. He just fired our head coach Mike Sherman. Mike Sherman was 59-37 while he was head coach for the Pack. Disincluding this year, his record was 55-25, with 3 straight NFC North division titles. He lost his number 1 & 3 Wide Receivers this year, due to injury, as well as his #1 - #5 Running Backs. Yes, I didn't misprint. The packers we're playing their 6th running back of the season yesterday. Sherman has had absolutely NO talent aside from Favre, Driver and Henderson on offense, and that MORON Thompson fires him after one season, where the team got bit by the injury bug more than anyone, when it came to crucial positions. Favre said, if Sherman is let go, that will all but guarantee he won't return. He said he doesn't want to play for a new coach for only one season. It won't do him or the Packers any good. In a sense, Thompson just fired the 3-time league MVP, 1-time Super Bowl Champion, and argueably the best quarterback to ever play the game. Thompson you are a moron, you should be fired.

I suppose you think Yzerman should retire too! Since you're a Lions fans, you probably haven't paid as much attention to the Packers and Favre as I have. Here's the deal, Favre looks a lot like he did when he was young. This season he threw a lot of interceptions, but at the same time 20 touchdowns. When he first played for the Pack, he had the same problem as he did this season. He has NO ONE to throw too. Driver is constantly double covered, since he was the only weapon in our receiving core. When he was able to get free, he and Favre hooked up for over 1,200 yards, just between the two of them. Favre always wants to make things happen. Sometimes that results in interceptions and sometimes it results in TD's. Favre is still argueably the second best quarterback in the league (Manning's got him currently though as he's in his prime, and has a world class team around him); but doesn't that remind you of someone back in the mid 90's? That person is Brett Favre. P.S. I realize this is a largely Lions crowd, but I am in the "Other Sports" category, so I feel its valid. Also, I'm focusing my complaining on Ted Thompson rather than the Packers.
