Yzerman "History Will Be Made" Commercial
NeverForgetMac25 replied to Wings_Dynasty's topic in General
The Yzerman vid was everything I was hoping for. That was one of those moments as a Red Wing fan where you remember exactly where you were when it happened. Classic! -
4/7 GDT: Blue Jackets 3 at Red Wings 4
NeverForgetMac25 replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
No....it really isn't. The Wings are healthier than they've been all season and Chicago isn't. Couple that with Chicago having shaky and/or inexperienced goaltending, and the fact that the Wings have hit their stride at the perfect time. Will it be a battle with CHI if the Wings face them in the first round: Absolutely. Will it be "Game Over" for Detroit: Absolutely Not. -
Fleury pursuing charges against Graham James

Un-*******-believable! I can't wait for them to release the rationale of the pardon. I just can't fathom what it could possibly be. This is some ridiculous bulls***! -
My thoughts exactly. There's plenty of terms to describe this years' Philadelphia Flyers. High-Powered isn't one of them. Besides, the Legion of Broom doesn't play for them anymore.

Smart move by Babs. None of us knows how Jimmy is going to react to the beast that is the playoffs and while Ozzie won't be "warmed up" by one game alone, its a lot better seeing him get atleast some action before the playoffs begin. It'll be nice if the Wings' spot is locked up before the CHI game next Sunday afternoon and Oz can get the start in that one as well to continue getting his timing back if he's needed come playoff time. Sidenote: WTF is that?

Nor do I, as indicated in my post. I just feel Kippur could steal a couple games against SJ, making their road to the second round a little more difficult. Couple that with being "roughed up" more so (given Calgary is more physical than Colorado) and the Sharks first round could prove to be tiresome. Sidenote: It's not as if the Avalanche have done a ton of postseason winning since 2004 either (2 total postseason series wins).

I don't think it really matters. Personally, I can see Kippur alone frustrating SJ more so than the Avs could, but I don't think either of those teams has the chops to be anything other than a first-round exit.

It really would be hysterical to see the Flames catch Colorado and knock them out of the playoff picture given the start the Avalanche had to this season. It truly defied logic how well they were playing to start this season and now they're playing at the level that roster should be....and hanging on for dear life. The final day of the regular season can't get here soon enough for Avalanche fans.

Oh, the ridiculous hours I spend on LGW. :nonono:

Translation: "Huet will never backstop us to the Cup and its only a matter of time before Niemi s***s the bed. We didn't add a veteran goaltender at the trade deadline...now what the hell are we supposed to do?"

Exactly what I've been saying the past 3 weeks. It's always fun to read power rankings when your team is on the rise.

Here's a clip that cuts right to the actual incident and its also a little higher res. Enjoy!

Hockey Superstitions and Jinxing....with a splash of humor.

I'd love to play SJ in any round of the playoffs with how well we match up against them. At this stage though, given the current level of play of the 5-8 seeds that's not looking likely for the first round.

No desire to play PHX in round 1, mindfly?

The Blackhawks are done? What, did the team announce Campbell would be back early from injury?

Ville Leino 1/3 of Philly's offensive unit

I prefer the following part of the article. It sums up what Wings fans got from him this season: -
I salivate at the thought of going up against the Sharks at any point of the first three rounds. The Wings simply match up so well against them. I was curious about the bolded since it seems like that should be closer but sure enough, the Devils are 6-0 against Pittsburgh this season. On top of that, PIT has a whopping 5 total goals over the course of those 6 games (or 0.833 GF per game average). Very interesting stat!

Just want to throw out a big thank you to Aussie and DanBylsma for all their hard work once again with this game. It takes a lot of time, but know how much its appreciated.

Stay Classy Creepy, Pierre!

The chance of us finishing higher than the 7th seed (I would say) is something like 30%. Whatever seed we end up with I just hope its opposite the Sharks.

A few of Carman's posts have given him a few day breather. Given that, Let's get this thread back on topic.
