Flat out unlucky. That being said, no one picked up the trailer. :nonono: -

Yeah, it does allow you to play your first unit twice in one PP, but you could be sustaining pressure in the zone and then all of a sudden the buzzer sounds ending the period. Then the period starts with a faceoff at center ice and you have to gain control in the zone (which can take around 15 seconds). Exactly -

Nice to get a PP, but bad time for it. Penalties that overlap periods essentially waste 15 seconds of potential offense. End of my Debbie Downer post. -

He's young. He'll continue to learn the pace in the next few years and hopefully those goals will become more sparse. That being said, Miller's one of the best in the world, and that poke check was a ridiculous decision given the angle Eaves had on that goal. Point is, they all make mistakes, but atleast our goalie isn't getting paid anywhere near where Miller is. -

Haven't posted in a GDT in a while. What a start....hopefully they keep the foot on the gas! -

6 GA on 23 shots.....ouch-town for Ellis' Save %

Word. Just thought I'd throw that option out there in case that was something you might prefer.

Click "Ctrl" and "-" at the same time. That'll shrink it for you and allow you to fit more on one page. The same can be done if you want to increase the size by clicking "ctrl" and "+".

Says who? Done. Sidenote: That's what she said!

I like that idea a lot.

5 Minutes if Brett Hull got to it first.

This is what scares me the most. Even more so, the last part stating, "shall be reviewed for possible supplemental discipline." We've all seen preferential treatment of players based on the name on the back of the jersey and I'd like to see this rule be more cut and dry all the way to the finish.

*Clicks minus button* Nothing to see here, move along.

It's becoming abundantly clear he just wants to hang on and play until he's 50. Kudos to him for being in the shape he is to still hack it on an NHL roster.

I'm fairly confident that's why Matt decided to only put each member's reputation within their profile and not under their posts. While the system can be abused, if its used properly it should be quite effective and beneficial for the boards. We all have to keep in mind that its a going to be a work in progress and Matt and Co. will work out the kinks as we move on. As I said before, once the novelty of this wears off hopefully people will use it for what its meant for and not personal vendettas such as what one member (whom I know who it is) did to me in my Trade Deadline thread.

The same was said about Lebda until a week ago. Look, I agree that E has looked lost out there but Babs is in a tough situation. This organization thinks E will be a part of their future so they're doing everything they can to get him his experience, but the problem is the Wings aren't in a situation where they can afford his mistakes. The bottom line is after Lilja, the talent of every D-man drops dramatically so no matter who gets put in chances are they're going to play like a 6th Dman. All you can do is minimize your risk. That's what Babs is doing.

It'll be real interesting watching how E reacts to Lebda's improved play. This is the type of matchup that E "should" excel at compared to Lebda given the size differential, but whether he takes advantage of the situation is yet to be seen. I know I'll be watching that pairing closely. Atleast the game is at The Joe so barring an icing, E won't get stuck out there with a bad matchup. Pfft, how do I get one of those jobs? The age-old 9:00-5:00 is a thing of the past...the norm here is 8:00-5:00. That being said, I work an "8:00-5:00" job and I'm usually at work around 7:30 and don't leave until 5:30.

Thanks for getting back to me atleast. I didn't think they had one, but I would've been happy to have been wrong.

Any idea when that was? From what I remember this past decade it seems like the Wings could never get over the 9-game win streak hump. Not that that's anything to ***** about, but if the Wings rattled off 13-14 straight (since the 2001/2002 season especially) I'd love to see when it was. If you can find it, please let me know.
-
I'm fairly confident its not gonna take winning nine out of ten to make the postseason. While the Wings are playing much better, lets also not be unrealistic. Finishing 7-3 per every 10 games from here on out should be enough.
-
....Or hopefully the Wings manage to get a few breakaways. We all know how stellar Kipper is one-on-one.

It's something I wouldn't put to much worry into either. I got sort of curious regarding the amount of negative posts in one day considering my rating dropped 23 points without me even posting. I quickly thought about what I've recently posted in and the Trade Deadline Thread I've "run" the past 3 years came to mind. I decided to give it a quick look and sure enough, practically every post of mine is marked as "-1" while no one else's is touched. So one of two things happened. (A) Someone decided they all of a sudden *yesterday* hated the trade deadline updates from last week or (B) someone (no names mentioned) doesn't get along with me very well and was pathetic enough to mark concrete, informational-only posts regarding player movement as a "-1" post. It's pretty obvious it was the latter. Bottom line, I'm not worrying about it but I do agree with you. The fact of the matter is hopefully the excitement of this new feature will wear off sooner rather than later and people will use it correctly from here on out so it can be effective.

Skip class. Big game tonight is an understatement!
