Agreed! I was so jacked up last night when they took the 5-3 lead, only to be sick to my stomach when they pissed it away with under 2:50 to go in the third. When they scored the game winner, I was just floored. I wish more Americans realized what just happened last night and just how much of an accomplishment it was. Uh, I wouldn't go that far. I'd love nothing more than to see that, but our American team is far inferior to both the Canadians and the Russians. Barring an upset, those will likely be your Gold Medal game finalists.

Not to downplay this one bit, but there's a huge difference between driving under the influence (which is what Cheli was doing) and drunk driving. It's legal to drive under the influence as long as you're under the limit (0.08% in Illinois). Speeding on top of it was stupid, but who here can honestly say they don't go out to eat, have one beer and then drive home? That's the equivalent of a DUI. When they release his BAC, that's gonna be the key to this story.

Hopefully all the guys you listed will reach their potential but keep in mind that what you posted would be a best case scenario. All the kids you mentioned have a long way to go before they can be *heavily* relied on for the type of output you posted. While it excites me by the thought of 2nd and 3rd pairing scoring, we're still gonna need the first pairing to put up solid numbers before we can say they're the best top tandem in the game. That's my one and only point. Sidenote: Sorry for getting back to you so late with this. I had to leave a few minutes after I initially posted yesterday.

While its conceivable that Kronwall-Stuart could be the number 1 pairing when Lids retires especially given Rafs decline, I'd still like to see a little more offensive output from that tandem before I'd say its better than any other two in the NHL. I'm not expecting Lids-Raf numbers of 2007-2008, but a little more than those two have put up. Note: That's no knock on those two!

For the most part, he's dead on. Lidstrom seems to get the nod on things like this but a "B+" is a fair indication of his season thus far.

I used to state the same, but I get what Babs is doing. Drapes isn't going to be around forever (or much longer) and he's trying to give kids experience when it isn't as important. If this was a playoff game, Drapes would be taking those important draws.

Nah, something has to be messed up within the feed. Still, if you have DirecTV (as I do) it's better than nothing.

No argument, but (and don't take this the wrong way) that doesn't mean fighting doesn't have its place. It most certainly does. A team is getting beat on all ends of the game and a fight can be (and usually is) enough to spark the team.

The Wings PP is beyond banged up and is still putting the puck in the net far more than they should given the current roster. Continue to bait.....see what happens next. No one is saying you have to be "Rawh Rawh Red Wings" 24-7, but if you came in here as a "fan of any other team" you'd have been booted a long time ago. Note: Yes, the PP has looked poor lately, but you're constant ripping is not coming off as frustration.

Do you realize how many b-2-b-2-b-2-b-etc games the BJ's have lost to the Wings since Nash has been on the team? The Wings played a poor first 20 minutes aginst CBJ two nights ago and a solid final 40, and the Wings didn't deserve to win? Try again.
