12/28 GDT: Red Wings 0 at Blue Jackets 1 (OT)
NeverForgetMac25 replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Wings won 2 nights ago against Columbus and the Jackets have won 2 of their last 17 games. Care to give a reason, or are you just trolling to get a reaction from people because logic says otherwise? -
Seconded. It's sitting within my coffee table as we speak. Great stories, and fore-word by Stevie Y.

Most teams aren't missing 9 top-end starters.

Thanks, Susie Buzzkill. -
QFT Hopefully the minimum turns out to be the exact amount.

Dallas (2 points behind Detroit) Chicagox2 (1st in Central Division) ColumbusX2 Colorado (7th in West) Phoenix (6th in West) Anaheim L.A (Tied 1st in West) San Jose (Tied 1st in West) Must Wins? While it would be great to win all these games, that's just simply unrealistic even if the entire team was healthy. The fact of that matter is the Wings are minus 9 players at this point from what would have been their opening day roster. One more, and were talking half our starting roster! Big games: certainly. Must wins: I disagree

That was taken after he resigned as PHX's coach this past summer. Either way, he looks creepy as hell in that pic.

Ericsson out with "deep bone & muscle bruise"

Honestly, I'm beyond shocked this wasn't worse news. The way he got hit and went down, I thought it was likely his season. Sidenote: The following people deserve their respective tomatoes. -
Yeah, I got that. I was referring to team doctors, and whether or not they would be the first point of rescue. Was it just the fact that the referee was a paramedic and was ready to roll before anyone else got out there? Or do they not have as many qualified doctors on hand?
-
Wow! Do they not have trainers/doctors for each team in the Swedish Allsvenskan? Or was it just that the referee was plenty qualified to administer CPR and was ready to start before the trainers/doctors got out there?
-
Jesus.......this is just insanity. It's so hard to fathom this team continuing to stay in contention if any more injuries pile up.
-
Translation: I'm cheer for the Canucks, but deep down I long to be a Wings fan.

11/22....I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Probably perfectly fine seeing as that Pronger signed an extension almost immediately after he was traded there. If we're talking American Football, it happens to the Green Bay Packers all the time. Plenty of players don't want to sign in GB due to the size of the city.
-
Not to mention the fact, what type of return do you honestly think we'll get for him if you (the OP) think he should be traded in the first place?

Posts like this make me glad no one from LGW is in charge of making decisions for the Red Wings. -
If ever a team had all the cards stacked against it, it has to be this years' Detroit Red Wings. If/when they pull through and make the postseason, it proves more than most realize.
-
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but it makes you wonder how many more blows this team can take and still remain as competitive as it has.
-
Awesome!

Good for Shanny. I was 8 when my family moved to Green Bay. I saw Sterling Sharpe in a Best Buy and after I finally mustered up the courage to go ask him for an autograph he simply looked at me and said, "no" and then walked away. I've never forgotten that. ****** Bag

It was only a matter of time. An amazing accomplishment.....especially with how long that record was held.
