I'm not pleased he not only ended up in the West but the Central on top of it, but that doesn't change anything IMHO. Just as I said last year, I appreciate what he did and the risk he took to play for Detroit. No matter where he ended up I said I would thank him and wish him well, and I do.....just not against Detroit.

He didn't overspend on Hossa, but he sure strapped them for the future. Kopecky was a dumb signing for that amount.

I don't mind seeing Kopecky move on one bit. He didn't bring much of anything to the table, and certainly not for $1.2 per.

I can't imagine he would've TBH. I truly believed if the Wings had won the cup this year Hossa would've taken the big, secure long-term contract with another club since he'd have a Cup under his belt. Now, I also thought he would've stayed in Detroit if they came up short since they're perennial contenders, but the cap room just isn't there and he can't keep gambling on his future with one year deals. I'm fairly confident that's why sherwood40 said, "if he signs with them". If a deal is in place to make Hossa a King its a fair deal.

Both have solid teams, an O-6 club along with the other having some decent history behind them. Good matchup, great venue.

TBH, I never understood how people could have other teams that they like. There are certainly other teams I mind less than the others, but its the Wings or no one for me. When the Wings aren't playing, I (a) hope the team that will help the Wings most wins or (b) if neither help, I prefer to see the team I dislike the least win. However, I don't like another team. Similar to that is Team USA. When they got eliminated from the Olympics in 2006, I wasn't cheering for Sweden but I preferred them to win because of the amount of Wings on their roster.

Those fools must've meant Zetterberg-type money for the two of them combined because they aren't anywhere near Z's level. What a joke if they think they're worth that.

While Hossa's most recent playoff performance leaves a lot to be desired, who else are you gonna sign with Hossa's ability for a $4 million cap hit? I'd absolutey re-sign him for that.

If this is true it looks like LA will try and make a huge splash come July 1st. You don't dump Johnson and the pick like that if you don't plan on making a run.

I don't see how any Wings or Penguins fans couldn't watch this game. I'll be in knots the entire time and most likely won't sit down at all during gameplay, but I'll be watching. It would be worse to not watch and wonder what's going on.

Yes, you are...because you're failing to see the facts. He didn't asked to get traded to Pittsburgh, they just offered Atlanta the sweetest package for him. He owed them nothing, and you can't seem to wrap your brain around that concept. It's not an opinion, its fact. I don't care what other people have said, this has nothing to do with them.
