Which team would piss you off the most if they won the cup?

Pittsburgh and Vancouver would annoy me more than anything. Chicago and St. Louis would be up there, but I don't see either of those with a realistic chance of even getting there.

    Call the team out

And the forwards up front producing brutal giveaways which lead to an odd man rush the other way have nothing to do with it? Perhaps you need to start looking at more than just the stat sheet. You know...an actual game is being played. You might as well call someone Hitler. Given your s/n and avatar coupled with your comments, it gives you zero credibility. While Hudler frustrates me from time to time, the fact that you can't see his assets makes your contentions meaningless.

    Call the team out

So you're saying they weren't missing 5 other regulars? That's my point. We can sit here and debate over the importance of those other 5, but I'd argue that they are put of the team chemistry and simply replacing them with GR kids isn't going to have the same effect. I've been hearing LGW complain about floaters ever since I started viewing this site. It's funny how everyone seems to think all (or most) of the floaters in the league just happened to be on the Wings. Not everyone's style is "in your face" every second of every game. Having guys like Helm and Abdelkader on the team only display the discrepancy between role players who aren't every-game scorers and that of guys who are. No team in the NHL has 6 scorers and 6 tenacious forecheckers. Guys do different things. Now would be the time for everyone to do some self-reflection and determine the ending they want for this season. Even still, it doesn't mean you're going to get it.

    Call the team out

At the risk of sounding like Eva, Hudler hasn't been nearly as bad as people are making him out to be. The guy has put up 42 points so far this season, half of which are goals. Are some of them luck or the result of good linemates, of course. However, name one NHL'er who doesn't get lucky goals or benefits from playing with good linemates. s***, Z scores some terribly lucky goals. His off-angle shots always magically go in and sometimes they tend to fall when he's in his worst slumps. Again, I'm in the same boat with you as Franzen. Cleary hasn't been himself much of the season either, but I expect way more out of Franzen than I do #11.

    Call the team out

I've already agreed that the PP has been abysmal and needs a shakeup. How much of a shakeup can they really give it with guys like Dats, Lids and Bert out....I doubt much. As for teams losing guys and continuing to roll, I don't believe any team that loses 7 starters continues to roll. Show me one team that has done so *over the long haul* with a similar talent equivalent out and I'll be more than happy to admit I'm wrong.

    Call the team out

The guys I was referring to that have stepped up are Z and Fil. Franzen, I'll grant you but I'm talking about the guys that we rely on to be top-end with an injured lineup or not. TBH, I just think people are getting pissy simply because this team is playing to a level that should be expected with the lineup they're currently icing and unfortunately it happens to be at one of the most crucial times of the regular season.

    Call the team out

Clearly a shake-up on the PP is needed. As far as calling players out, do you really believe Babs should get on Dats' case given he hasn't played in 3 weeks and Lids who hasn't played in a couple? Do you really feel "calling them out" as you say is going to all of a sudden make the PP click? These aren't a bunch of middle-schoolers...or the Montreal Canadiens. Calling them out isn't going to do s***.

    Call the team out

No one's making excuses for how poor the powerplay has been. However, Hudler was taken away because of injuries up front coupled with the fact that Q was brought in. Most importantly, you're not looking at everything when you make your claims. First and foremost, Bab's has been forced to play guys that are typically nowhere near a PP. On top of that, just because the defense has been mostly (not fully, btw) the same doesn't mean the guys up front aren't causing the headaches. Last night was a perfect example of that. When your normal guys up front are out and guys that aren't very capable are thrown into the mix mistakes happen far more often than you're letting on. Check any team in the NHL that has dealt with the same injury situation in their top-6 and you'll see a pattern.

    Call the team out

The Wings have had 7 starters (most top-tier) out of the lineup the past few weeks. This isn't a matter of the team relying solely on two players (even though they are two of the best in world, so it should justify a fair amount of recent sloppy play). The Wings defense is ravaged and you've got guys playing the point on the PP that have no business there, yet you're surprised they all of a sudden are giving up shorty's? It can't be more obvious than the obvious. The biggest problem/obstacle for this team once they've gotten healthy is putting up their share of wins on the road. They're not going to go between 8-0 and 16-0 at home in the playoffs so that should be the focus down the stretch. This team with all its injuries is playing like they should, mediocre. The bright side of things is that in the absence of our injured, the guys we needed to step up, without question have. Yeah, you're right....those 20 guys in front of him, solid play and health had nothing to do with their record. Please!

    Call the team out

This teams doesn't need a call out...it needs to get healthy. Everything else will fall into place once that happens.

Please, for the love of God

Haha! An "article" from a website called "obnoxious fan" that only has three total articles (one of which rips the Blackhawks) and you want us to believe this was done by a Wings fan? Atleast we now know your name Cajanek...or should I say, Bruce Mason. Get a life. Stop looking for big brother's validation.

^ Is that laughter at aMonster or do you seriously believe St. Louis isn't playing every bit as good as Vancouver right now?

Why is it that the Canucks "should" knock off the Blues tonight? They're playing every bit as good as Vancouver right now.

    Nystrom hit on Letang

Brutal but clean hit. What pisses me off more than anything, is that in the new NHL when a player gets rocked, the hitter is immediately sought after and play is stopped. It drives me absolutely crazy! What the hell happened to "remember" the hit and lay one back on him later on? It's to the point where I'd almost like to see a penalty called for the person that causes the stoppage for those reasons within 10 seconds of a hit.
