It was the first Sammy-bashing post I saw. -

Dear Detroit Red Wings, Hiller is not going down to the butterfly well and seems to be fighing some lower body pain. Continue to pound the five-hole (that's what she said). Sincerely, NFM25 -

How do these comments still exist with his postseason last year and everything he's done for his meager paycheck? I'm sorry, but this Sammy bashing trend is well past pathetic. -

If that's a kicking-motion, I've lost all faith in this league. He was simply trying to stop. -

Unbelievable...that's playoff hockey if I've ever seen it! -

This is what worries me about Cheli. His decision-making isn't there anymore. A poor pass leads to turnover and a decent shot attempt. -

Gotta love seeing Hossa lay out Perry. Him and Pronger both take hits from Hossa within 10 seconds....love it. -

I can't even begin to explain what my stomach and body goes through during Red Wing playoff games. The sad part is....I'm not even joking. It's such a nauseating feeling knowing I have no control over the outcome. I'd rather be playing the game than watching. -

That's badass. I'm not much of a jewelry wearer (aside from my wedding ring), but that's an incredible find.

Of course they're not obligated to reveal anything. That still doesn't give you the credibility or knowledge to call out his toughness. Again, none of us has a clue as to the extent of his injury.
-
So because you feel you've been able to narrow it down to a groin injury (which the reports are saying its not), you think that also gives you the credibility and the knowledge to criticize Rafalski's toughness when you have zero clue what the extent of his injury is? None of us has a clue as to the extent of his injury and until then, calling out a guys toughness that's probably 10X tougher than any of us is pathetic.
-
Please show me these "magical" lines you're reading through. You have no clue what his injury is or the extent of it. So before you go and call out a players' toughness, you might want to bite your tongue.
-
Last season proved the Wings don't *need* Hossa, but it sure as hell is great to have him.
-
Kronwall would've been paired with Stuart regardless....their assignments didn't change. It'll be up to Lidstrom to watch E's back. The bottom pairing shouldn't see a sniff of the Getzlaf line since its a home game and Babs has the last change.
-
You have no clue what Rafalski is dealing with. Stop making assumptions you can't back up with facts.
-
According to the article the OP posted, Babs is gonna use somewhat of a three-man point rotation with Lids, Kronwall and Sammy. Then he'll mix in Stuart and Ericsson to take up the rest of the time.
-
Ericsson is a lefty, hence why he won't see much PP time (if any) tonight. Sammy being a righty is the reason he's on the point rather than Stuart. The same applies for Ericcson.
-
If there's a silver lining to this, atleast it's a home game and the bottom pairing won't get caught in a bad spot due to having the last line change. Babs is savvy enough to make sure his matchups for Cheli-Lebda will be the least dangerous.
-
Babs wasn't fired. He wanted a longer-term deal than the one-year offer he was tendered, and when Burke wouldn't offer that, he left. Turned out to be the best decision he's probably ever made. He left for a team that was receptive to his work ethic.
-
There's no reason to be pissed off about it. The only ones that state it created controversy are the ones the don't understand that that call *had* to be made. This wasn't a case of a player hopping onto the ice while the player he was replacing was a good 15-or-so feet away from the bench. Bottom line, he touched the puck....end of controversy. Anything else is just whining and grasping at straws.

Red Wings to use multiple defenders against Anaheim's top line

I love it! -
Awwwh.....mean old Detroit having the nerve to create traffic in front of the oppositions goalie. Tear. Sidenote: Carlyle says "Holmstrom at times gets away with a lot more than most players do" yet he continues on by saying "He's probably the guy that has the most penalties called against him for goaltender interference". That makes sense, you say he's gets away with more than anyone yet he's probably got the most penalties called against him for goaltender interference. :looney:
-
With how seamlessly he's fit in on this team it's sure going to be a tough pill to swallow if the Wings just can't come to a number that keeps him under the cap and that he can live with. As I said before the season started, I'll hold absolutely no ill-will toward Hossa if he moves on after this season, because he's already fulfilled his end of the contract. Everything from here on out is a bonus. I sure hope he gets to raise the Cup this year. How special and fitting after the sacrifice he made this offseason.
