The Wings are really forcing the puck into traffic too much. They really need to work the puck down low and get the D moving side to side.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I can understand laying off for the majority of the season given the fact that their talent has carried them, but that physical play (which they've done well today) will absolutely be necessary after this coming week.

Sammy is really holding onto the puck too long today. He's gotten so much better at that over the past few seasons, but today eerily reminds me of 06/07.

Absolutely were allowed to be frustrated by Ozzie's poor season given that he's going to be the guy in goal in a couple weeks. I'm quite nervous about it myself. However 99% of people here (not necessarily you) have the "goaltending answer" for Detroit, and for some convenient reason its never the guy currently between the pipes. That's whats annoying and its never-ending here at LGW.

Those of you who feel Osgood shouldn't be the starting goalie, do you truly believe Conklin can lead this team to the Cup? Or are we just bitching about Ozzie cause its the trendy thing to do?

Yeah, how can anyone think a goalie that's won 3 cups (2 as the starter) can get it done? That's just madness.

Z is clearly the best player on the ice thus far. He's been even stronger on the puck than he normally is.

That's what I was thinking. That would make much more sense, especially given the Wings have played only once against 12 Eastern Conference opponents. I couldn't imagine he's scored a point against them all in a single game.

That's an incredible stat, but are you sure its accurate? Didn't the Wings only play the Isles once? Edit: Just checked...the Wings only played the Isles once so this can't be accurate.

Datsyuk is amazing. He held on to that puck for 6 weeks before letting it go.

Zetterberg's vision is great. That reminded me of the pass he made to complete Dats' hat trick last year against the Stars in the playoffs.

That penalty ended not a moment too soon. The Wild really had the Wings on their heals the last 30 seconds and we're moving the puck well. Far too many open lanes.
