Ozzie looks like he did last year. He's been beyond sharp thus far.

Conklin played the last game, and like you said that was only 2 days ago. A home-and-away goalie tandem in the playoffs would have our two playing every 5 or 6 days during the initial stage of each series. Besides, one of our two tenders will be playing better come playoff time. You've gotta give the nod (both home and away) to the one that's playing better as a whole.

I don't like the thought of our goalies going 5 or 6 days without playing and then being called to win a big game. Not only could they lose their focus, they likely won't be as sharp either.

I can't think of one (or imagine a team would do that). It seems like it would backfire given the focus each goalie would likely lose.

I love that point shot. Zero traffic and probably no more than 80 mph. Tough save for Oz.

Don't misunderstand me, I would be greatly pleased if the Wings stood up for themselves more consistently, but if they aren't going to as much as the majority of the teams in the NHL, I'd rather them play the game than resort to gooning it up. That's just a sad excuse. Are cheapshots really going to make you feel better? That being said, why are you surprised? Most Europeans don't fight. It's not focused on as much as it is here in NA.
