I wouldn't say they are taking everything away from the players. I think the owners are seeing other sports where the players are getting paid way over what any human being playing a sport should be paid. They are trying to put a cap on it right now before it does get out of hand and there is no turning back. It's really the owners protecting themselves from themselves. Owners should be making more than players...it's just that simple and that's pretty much in any business. No owners...no owners money being put up....no risk being taken by the owners on players....no league...no place to play in the US and or Canada.

Now Now you know the players deserve 100% of revenues because they are the professional athletes and have trained their hearts out for the chance to place at the nhl level and they all have 10 kids to feed off of their measly salaries and the owners are just fat cats sitting on their high horses drinking their cokes from cans.Let's forget about the fact that there would be no NHL without the Fat cats in charge that are willing to put up their money that they earned from whatever business they had before hockey. We all know Mr I's money was just handed to him anyways so why wont he just hand all of his out to the players. They have enough money and don't need no stinking revenues. Bettman is the only one negotiating to get whats best for the owners against those poor players and Saint Fehr. Maybe we can have a feast day for Fehr after this is all over.

I really don't get it. Just because some of us see more of a bigger picture as a whole..more problem then just Bettman , we are just here to argue, we are idiots....we are Buttman dur hur lovers....and we wish bad things to happen to hockey and the players. I'm not sure how me and several others can say it any clearer then we already have. Both sides suck...we hate Bettman....we hate Fehr....We hate the fact that we can't watch our "beloveded" (Ernest T. Bass) Wings.

You seem to be very upset that someone stops and doesn't jump all over Bettman and sees more of the bigger picture and can see without the lame sequin tee shirt that says NHLPA ROXORS on it. I have never said that Bettman more so the owners are not to blame for this lockout but I also can see how Fehr is stalling on things and even making some of the players upset about how he is handling things. Both sides have not done there best to get a deal done. It seems like Bettman and Fehr would rather screw each other then worry about the fans or getting a deal done. Did you miss the part about when Bettman and Fehr were not in the room negotiating that they made some good progress but as soon as BOTH get back in everything goes to hell? Were you too busy coming up with the clever names for Bettman?

If you don't blame Fehr any you are wrong.

If Bettman and or Fehr are still around you can bet there will be another....and another....and another.

And what would you say if it were an owner calling out the NHLPA or retweeting that a fan said he wishes Fehr dead or some of the players that have been vocal? And how do you know what the fan is thinking? I'm sure there are fans out there that generally wish harm to come to the owners and or "Buttman" dur dur.

Well I understand that but thats what happens when you have a discussion like this and have many saying that it is all Bettmans fault. I'm not really one to go with a trend just because someone comes up with a clever name for Bettman but I know that it does suck that we have had to go through this 3 times with him but im also not going to say it has been all his and the owners fault either.

oh my...When I say it's both sides I mean nhlpa AND bettmans fault...I don 't like either side...I don't stand closer to either side meaning I'm not going to do like "some" on here and say it's all bettmans and the owners fault . that doesn't mean that I'm all in on saying it's the nhlpa's fault either.

I think you need to go back through and re-read what I have been posting. I hate both sides and have said it many time in this thread. I'm just sick and tired of the crying from some on here about bettman and saying it is all his fault and the nhl. Then you have players being stupid and unprofessional running their mouths and it's ok some how to most of you but it's not ok for the league or anyone that has any part of the league to say anything....talk about pro 1 sided. And again so you know..I hate both sides and think both sides are money hungry idiots and I'm getting to the point where I couldn't care any less if we have hockey or not this season.
