yea but im sure avrey has said some things like that and he knows more hockey then anyone on here. knowing hockey more then the next means nothing. From what i have seen people post that have played higher level hockey (not nhl) have said that they hear and see bad stuff all the time. that it is norm. Stuff being said you would never say to someone just walking down the street. but i do agree he shouldn't do the lawsuit. changes to be made...yes i believe they do need some. but to get money out of this because someone called you a name or said something bad about your religion? geez go to the political thread..you could sue everyone in there for money if thats the case. hahaha

but he signed with the wings..not with the islanders...everyone keeps forgetting that it seems. they had half a year to sign him if they wanted to..now they do it after the wings sign him and after he said many times that he wanted to play for a contender. did the isle not think this was going to go wrong that they picked someone up that has a NMC and that signed with a team? And it seems that some GM's per reports are happy they picked him up just for the fact that Detroit didn't get him....so how do we know the islanders didn't do that? or is it because eva said so?

I agree with a lot you say but this I don't. Nabby wanted to play for the wings so he signed with them.He is a free agent. They made a statement before that he only wanted to play for a team that had a chance of winning There is no way in hell the isle is going to make it to the playoffs. Now if Nabby is so much better then what they have at a cheap price..well he will win for them. So that means not only will they NOT make the playoffs but they will lose their great place in signing someone in the draft. So i feel all in all it was a stupid move on their part.

Well knowing that Holland poked his head in to tell Ken and Mick that we just signed Nabby before the end of last nights game with the blues just seems like there is too much excitement within our team for it just to be a "here we go nabby and agent. we will help you get back into the league by wasting our time signing him knowing that 99% that he will be claimed by any team before us. ohhh and we are going to put in a NMC in the contract because that makes teams want you even more" not sure if i believe that.

well i think the whole signing with Detroit proves that he wants to play here...again i dont see us doing nabby and his agent a favor like that just to get him back into the nhl unless there was more to it. and i dont' see holland doing this knowing that 99% positive he would not make it through the waiver unless there is something in the rules that we are missing or not reading right.

I think it has been said many times. He would have to go back trough the waiver. Then Detroit would have first crack at him if no other team that was in a waiver posistion higher than the wings put in a claim as well the first time around the waiver. and the league would surley think that the deal was in place before this with NJD and step in and probably wouldn't let them do it.

no i don't not at all...but do you really think holland thinks he will? there has to be something that we are missing or don't know about behind the scenes...why would holland and the boys even try this if just about 100% sure he would not make it to the wings

It had nothing to do with the "POWER" of Kenny. I don't even buy that. It's the respect that Yzerman and kenny had for each other and we really couldn't keep him here so why not. Yzerman is still detroit no matter where he goes and im sure kenny and everyone else feels the same.

Well that was before Detroit showed some interest in him. You know there are teams that will want to pick him up just for the fact Detroit wont be able to. And he;s not a bad goalie to have. so it would be win win for a lot of teams that are going to be first in line for him.
