18 - The maximum number of games Maltby SHOULD play.
-
If every player plays their full potential or at least close, Tampa is going to be SCARY up front. Top 6: Lecavalier St. Louis Stamkos Malone Tanguay Halpern Not too too bad at all. Plus if Hedman, Ohlund, and Meszaros play good, pretty good team... At least up from last season.
-
For this whole issue, I really wish Sakic was still playing, much easier debate.
-
Totally agreed, I'll add to it... Selanne Rafalski Brind'Amour Conroy Modano McDonald Bouwmeester Havlat Gaborik Two other classy players we'll all see in the future are Matt Duchene and Cody Hodgson.

I know there would have to be weight adjustments for some of these to happen, but they all can be done pending on agreement of course. At first GSP/Silva looked the most appealing to me, but after a while, I'm starting to think that Lyoto Machida vs Anderson Silva would be crazier, and considering it would potentially be for the light-heavyweight title... Anderson Silva holding both belts (also middleweight) would be unreal. Of those matches the only one that is going to happen for sure is Evans/Jackson, and that's going to be at UFC 107. I pick Machida/Silva... You?

I would take Richards, even Toews as captain ahead of Crosby, but you know that won't be the case. He'll at least be an assistant. C- Niedermayer/Iginla A - Niedermayer/Iginla A - Crosby

HE. CAN. WAIVE. HIS. NO. TRADE. CLAUSE. Just because a player has a no trade clause, doesn't mean it's impossible to trade him. If the circumstances are right, I think Stuart would waive it...

What's the maximum you'd give up to get Heatley? Personally I think he's a great player, and I'd give up... Williams, Bertuzzi, Lebda, Maltby, Meech, and an 8th round pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft for him... Just kidding, I wouldn't want that one dimensional whiny piece of s*** in the Wings uniform. Hell the guy snipes better than anyone, but he'd be a plague to not only the Wings, but any team. I used to like him, but I think any player who demands a trade is a high maintenance *******. Is the reason personal? Does he consistently get picked on by numerous players on the team? Not that I've heard of... I hope he ends up in the KHL.
-
Certainly is. Question though, is it a bad thing to have played for that many teams, or is it good? It's tough to say... Either the teams don't want him or he's so in demand that teams tend to jump all over him. He was a good player though, hard worker, and classy too, so it'd be pretty ridiculous to suggest teams didn't want him.

The guys I grew up watching as a kid are just dropping like flies.
-
1. Wings (Come on now, there's a difference between homerism and realism... They were the exact same team that won the 08 cup + Hossa. Pittsburgh just played their guts out.) 2. Sens 3. Stars 4. Flames 5. Pens 6. Devils 7. Oilers 8. Ducks 9. Canes

Drafting star players doesn't hurt financially until 3 years.
-
That's the guy.
-
Agreed... A great stay-at-home d-man who knew his role.
-
Get two shirts, one for you, one for somebody else and do this... On one jersey it says 26 - Bruise, and on the other it says 24 - Brothers... Go to games with those jerseys on and sit side by side... People behind you will love it.
-
Oh, and I love Yzerman's Stone Cold Steve Austin pose at the beginning, lol.
-
Oh how I miss UPN50 . The days when I had access to most games...
-
Yzerman Shanahan Fedorov Lidstrom Hull Robitaille Chelios Larionov ...Would the 9th be Cujo, Schneider, or Datsyuk? The scary thing is with that said, when it's all said and done, there could be 12 future HOFers on the roster (The 8 I listed, plus Joseph, Schneider, Datsyuk, and Zetterberg)... Hey, Sean Avery too...
-
I'd do a powerplay line like this... Datsyuk - Yzerman - Howe Lidstrom - Fedorov Sawchuk Imagine...
-
I didn't think he had too much of a chance, but I guess THN are more believers than I am. Boychuk, Hodgson, and Duchene all will have fantastic rookie seasons, and I wouldn't be surprised if Varlamov takes it. Hedman will have a fantastic career, but it's tough for a rookie d-man to dominate. I'd say the Calder winner will be Varlamov followed by Tavares and Hodgson. The best I can see Leino doing is getting 5th in team points behind Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Franzen, and Lidstrom... With that will come maybe a 55 point season... Not good enough for Calder, but hey... I hope I'm wrong.

Finland must be great then... To spend a whole day at any arena here (in Windsor)... The ice would have to be available, which is impossible, and if it was available, you'd have to rent it for boatloads of dollars.
-
It kinda amazes me how there's a possibility of the Sharks sending Cheechoo to the AHL... The same guy who won a post-lockout Richard Trophy.

Why would you play sledge hockey? I mean it's good for physically disabled people but IF you can use your legs... Play real hockey. I've watched sledge hockey before and it honestly looks like it's frustrating and annoying... But hey, do as your own, I just want to know why you would choose sledge hockey over ice hockey? But hey, if you are handicapped, disregard this post.

I would take Marleau at his salary, assuming it was affordable. A point per game player who is pretty responsible in his own end... A young team picking him up would be very beneficial... He has what it takes, never really lived up to the hype, but a new environment where he is the experienced leader would help him. So young, potential elite teams like Columbus, LA, St. Louis, etc, etc... Would gain something with his presence.
