He has what it takes to be a 50 goal scorer... But very injury prone, I think if he doesn't get 50, it will be due to him missing games... I'd say he'll record the same goals per game average as he would if he scored 50 goals in 82 games.

Crosby and Malkin will only get better, while all the Wings stars have either reached their prime or at least are very close to it. I do think that the Wings will have more heart and confidence, and enough of that to at least have a better chance than the Pens. The Pens will continue dominance though, no question.

Oh and if the Isles get another 1st overall pick... Two words... TAYLOR HALL.

I truly think this is the year that Los Angelas starts to show their true potential... I predict playoffs for them at any spot between the 6th or the 8th seed. As far as the Wings ranking 4th, I predict 2nd or 1st in the West. Datsyuk WILL have a career season and maybe Zetterberg too, and I'm hoping Lidstrom will help with another Norris. As far as the East goes, I'd say dead on... I'm just surprised that they ranked Washington over Pittsburgh, although it might happen.

They are obviously intending on giving it to Thornton. Maybe their goal is to let Big Joe have a different role/mindset when going into the playoffs. A more responsible one. I would give it to Blake, but Thornton looks like the next realistic candidate.

I hope more from Leino, and assume less than 20 from Willy. I think Filppula is pick up 25 goals though.

Stupid stupid stupid... I'm surprised to see so many people thrilled from this, no matter how cheap he is. I mean I don't get why we can't just bring up all Helm, Leino, and Abdelkader full time... I truly think that would be more beneficial. I'm content about the Eaves signing, PISSED about the Williams signing, and just simply don't like the Bertuzzi signing... You usually don't sign a player again when they simply were a disappointment last time around. Give the young guys a chance. As I say, give the three I mentioned a full time chance, and hell it doesn't look like we'll see Emmerton, McGrath, Ritola, and Mursak anytime soon, or even that Francis Pare guy.

Now a lot of people are in the same boat as me... They simply don't know what to think of Tavares... Bust or no bust? I don't know what to think of Tavares, because when you watch him play, he doesn't consistently dazzle you like other first rounders Ovechkin, Kovalchuk, Crosby, Kane, and Stamkos do, but he just has a knack for finding the net, and comes out with some nice plays here and there... But his hockey sense is off the wall, he knows where to be at all time. The success that this guy got in juniors a long with a lot of experience may convince me that he will live up to the hype in the NHL. How do I see his rookie season ending up? Well it won't be along the lines of Crosby's or Ovechkin's (Although many people did say Crosby would be a bust)... But he won't be a bust... He'll get the nod as the Isles' go to guy early in the season and with that said... I predict he'll finish the season with Pat Kane like rookie numbers. FTR, I do believe that Hedman will get the Calder though, he's going to be a huge asset to Tampa.
