Can we try Datsyuk - Zetterberg - Hossa/Franzen? PLEASE??

I didn't realize Datsyuk was doing this bad... Yeah, put him back with Zetterberg and have a playmaker along the lines of Hudler or Filppula play with Hossa and Franzen, I truly think that'd be more effective.

I really hope he gets nominated for Pearson, he has a hell of a chance at winning that. The NHLPA will recognize outstanding he is being nominated for 3 other trophies as well and the all around game he plays. He's not going to win this, unfortunately, but it was good that he was nominated.

If this is the only one on TSN2, no biggy.

As much as I have mad man love for Datsyuk, I think Richards will get the nod.

I guess I'll expand on the Crosby being better defensively than Malkin and Ovechkin argument... I watch Ovechkin play, I know he's a great player, and I know it's not his position to be a third defenseman seeing as he's a winger... But I do notice that he doesn't backcheck as good as he should... He kind of slowly skates in the zone when the opposing team brings it in and he kind of waits for a turnover, he doesn't cause the turnover, he waits for it. I know it's a winger's responsibility to wait along the boards for the breakout pass, but he rarely looks responsible in his own end and I have seen him get deked out a few times. Malkin is kind of the same way, and he is a centerman, he just doesn't look responsible. Crosby plays the position of a third defenseman quite nicely, and it is tough to get by him. The Pens don't use him on the PK, or at least not often, but if they didn't want to save him for crucial offensive minutes, he would play the PK, and he would do a great job at it. He is quicker with his stick, better at simply taking the puck away, and doesn't hesitate to speed skate in his own end when there is a 2 on 1 or a 3 on 2. There might be something I'm missing, but overall Crosby seems to care more about the outcome of the game than he does points, even though he gets plenty of them.

Okay, I know this is playoff time, and understandably every topic should be playoff related, but I just found something on Wikipedia that really, REALLY pissed me off and boggled my mind. Now, this list is probably old and many people probably have already seen it... Hell, this exact thread was probably posted before, but I just came around to it... I fell right out of my chair when I seen kids pay less than 50 to play recreational hockey... Noooo way. I played hockey my whole life, and when I first started it was $350ish, then it gradually went up year by year until it was like $600 to play, and that doesn't even include equipment.

There is a slight possibility that 2 of the top 10 forwards in the NHL in the near future will be American... Parise and Kane. E. Johnson, J. Johnson, and Bogosian COULD top the best defensemen in the league... So, I don't know, the USA does have a better crop of players coming and it's very possible for them to challenge Canada.

Nobody hates Ozzy, hell nobody dislikes Ozzy here... But we were all rightfully disappointed in the fact that he had the worst SV% amongst all regular starters during the season and seeing him succeed is what we want most, not only for a stab at another cup, but for his own well being... Because we all love him!

The monkey actually has one of the worst records... Slightly over .500, and last playoff season, Maggie was had THE worst record. The only thing that made the monkey thing famous was when she picked Anaheim over Detroit in 02/03, since then it's been downhill.

What makes matters worse, is that game 1 is on TSN2, correct? Luckily, I get TSN2 (In one fricken' room!), but a lot of people do not get TSN2... I guess that's one of the only downfalls of playing Columbus is round 1. The possibility of getting Calgary or Vancouver in round 2 will be better.
