Will Lidstrom win Norris trophy again?

Yeah, but more grit can most likely mean less sportsmanship. But yeah, I

Will Lidstrom win Norris trophy again?

In all honesty, I can't see him winning the Byng again. These playoffs, he played with ton of grit, which I could see carrying on to next season.

Favourite Players From Each Hockey Nation

Canada - Steve Yzerman all time, Jonathan Toews and Dan Cleary for current Sweden - Henrik Zetterberg Czech Republic - I don't really like Czech players, but Martin Havlat, maybe a bit of Hudler, why not? United States - Mike Modano and Brian Rafalski Russia - Pavel Bure all time, Pavel Datsyuk current Finland - Filppula and Saku Koivu Slovakia - Marian Gaborik Misc. - Anze Kopitar

    some sick red wings logos!

I wouldn't mind this at all for a third jersey... All the other concepts are brutal.

Redden... Better defensive ability and pretty much equal offensive ability, minus the shot. Mike Richards or Brad Richards?

  8. I think this could be good. Longevity, consistancy, skill, all of which combined... 1. Yzerman 2. Lidstrom 3. Fedorov 4. Osgood 5. Shanahan 6. Zetterberg 7. Datsyuk 8. Draper 9. Konstantinov 10. Holmstrom I kind of had a tough time placing Zetterberg and Datsyuk so low, but I figured putting guys ahead of them with 3 and 4 cups as opposed to 1 and 2 cups kind of was the ice breaker.

Top 10 Red Wings of the Last 15 years?

I don't think anyone would base Draper's success off of that criteria.

Plastic rats by a landslide... Brian Rafalski or Larry Murphy?

Will Lidstrom win Norris trophy again?

Yeah, Lidstrom's age is not a factor, considering his best years came in his mid 30's.

Based on him being a key part of the dominant Habs... Robinson. Sorry Cheli. Steve Stamkos or John Tavares?

    Third Jersey Releases for 2009

I agree on the Phoenix jersey, it's pretty sick. On the site, it says the Senators jersey is rumoured to be "black with SENS written across the chest", I can't really picture it, but anxious to see it.

Larmer... The dude was an iron man, and had a way better point per game average than Bondra. Cam Neely or Jarome Iginla?

Top 10 Red Wings of the Last 15 years?

My original list put Stevie at #1, and having debates of whether or not to put Lidstrom at #1. Hell, I had a tough time thinking about Sergei. My list was compiled quickly, and making this thread was to see everyone else's thoughts. I could almost put Stevie, Lidstrom, and Fedorov at 1a, 1b, and 1c respectively. Debating Fedorov over Stevie is not that harsh of a debate... It is debatable. I almost feel bad for norrisnick and the army sworming against him over this argument. If you were to debate Yzerman in his prime and Fedorov in his prime, then we'd have no question in favour of Stevie. Let's cut to the chase and pull out some evaunitzero esque stats out of our ass... Over the last 15 years with the Wings (hopefully calculated correctly): Sergei - 751 GP, 789 Points... 2 Selkes, 1 Pearson, 1 Hart, 3 Cups, and I'd say the (unofficial) MVP of the '97 cup. Stevie - 841 GP, 852 Points... 1 Conn Smythe, 1 Selke, 3 Cups, and the best forward of the '02 cup. That's how down to the wire it is... Sergei had a better point per game average throughout that time, and accomplished more in terms of awards while being looked to as the go to guy on the point sometimes. Fedorov's attributes over Stevie was more raw skill, better defensive ability, more point production, and more league wide accomplishments... Stevie on the other hand, had leadership, overall more important part of the 3 cups, and almost 100 more games over Sergei. So, it is a legitimate debate.

Zetterberg... Anyone with the right mindset would pick him, no offense to Hossa. Ryan Getzlaf or Rick Nash?

Did I miss a player on the team with the name Malts? Maltby seems to already be on the list...

Will Lidstrom win Norris trophy again?

The tough to get around part covered it. From what I've seen, his defense is pretty good.

Will Lidstrom win Norris trophy again?

Well maybe I got too ahead of myself, but ultimately, in the last 2 seasons combined, I'd say Phaneuf was the second best d-man, in the last 2 seasons combined. He's the best hitter, tough to get around, he can skate well, and his stats are supreme. I truly do think Phaneuf is the second best d-man in the NHL, in terms of overall qualities.

    Lidstrom A++ Phaneuf A+ Niedermayer, Chara, Pronger, Rafalski = A Campbell, Gonchar = B+

Yashin, he's a dick, but still a better point per game player. I got a really good one... Theo Fleury or Daniel Briere?

Vladdy, but maybe Kronwall by the end of next season, but Vlad for now. Jonathan Toews or Patrick Kane?

Doesn't the NBA have a $58M cap, for only 17 players, if that? That makes $3.4M per player.
