1. Z's 5 on 3 kill. 2. Z's Stanley Cup GWG. 3. Kronwall's hit on Malone (mainly because for the duration of the playoffs he was nailing a bunch of weak nobodies, when he laid out Malone, that made it better). 4. Franzen's individual goal. 5. Fleury falling.

Hey, if Larsson can become another Lundqvist, then I'll be happy. I just don't want to see Larsson become Lundqvist, while Howard becomes another Al Montoya.
-
Neil. He's younger, hits more, scores more, and actually drops the mits. If you were to ask, present Chris Neil or pre-lockout Kirk Maltby, then we might have a debate.
-
Hudler, without hesitation. Fedorov in the 90's or Jagr in the 90's?

Ducks... ALL because of Burke. Pronger's a dick too, but he isn't under the media microscope every damn week.
-
I feel sorry for him because the media took the Moore incident as the worst incident to ever happen in NHL history, when it simply wasn't. Albeit, it was pretty severe, but I can think of maybe 10 incidents that were at least worst in an intentional way. Because of this, it really turned Bertuzzi into a more fragile player, and I can guarantee he thinks about what he did daily, and I can guarantee that effected his overall game. His whole style of play was dominating with his body and knocking guys away while he'd carry the puck. Nowadays, a combination of his back surgery, weight loss, and past demons have really prevented him from playing the way he used to. If he would go back to having those mean instincts again and not being afraid to get gritty, he could be as dominant as he once was. All he really has to do is face demons and gain some weight back, and MAYBE just maybe he can be good again.

1. Probert by a landslide. 2. Graves (Another good Windsor boy) 3. Sillinger (12 teams and not one cup? Let alone only ONE second round appearance... Poor guy, I hope and foresee a Drake-esque ending for him) 4. Dino 5. Oates

It's true. I mean to compare Stevie's looks to Stamkos' is kind of an insult.
-
Steve Stamkos Kyle Turris Jonathan Toews The above are 3 names that have been compared to Steve Yzerman. All 3 of which, more or less, are projected to have similar careers as Stevie Y. All 3 are leaders, hard workers, and point getters. I realize there will probably never be another guy like Yzerman to play the game, but which of the 3 strikes you as the closest to compare to Yzerman once it's all said and done? My pick is Toews.

That's the beauty about Hossa... He could hold his own.
-
Lidstrom deserved Conn Smythe in '02, no shame in that. A coin could have been flipped between him and Stevie and heads or tails, it would have been okay. 1997 however... Vorodef Iegres should have won.

For some reason, I feel numbers like 51, 61, 71, and 81 are the coolest numbers to choose. I don't know why.
-
I'd say good deal for Minnesota... Corey Locke is more of a promising young star.
-
Really?

Kindl may have dropped a few notches, but the facts are Ericsson, Quincey, and Meech have all had better seasons in the AHL. It takes a long time for D-men to progress, but Kindl will. I can see him having identical offensive abilities as Kronwall, with slightly less defensive abilities. He'll be in the NHL soon enough, and I can see him playing a few games next season.

I'd say... 1. Crosby 2. Ovechkin 3. Thornton 4. Datsyuk 5. Malkin 6. Iginla 7. Zetterberg 8. Heatley 9. Lecavalier 10. Getzlaf Three players with outside shots: Hossa, Spezza, and KANE.
-
Yeah, ZDHLR has more raw talent, and maybe more chemistry when it comes to Datsyuk/Zetterberg and two capable pointmen, along with pending chemistry from Hossa. The Russian 5 wasn't even the best line on the team, even though they were spectacular.
-
I'm not one to judge looks on males, but Stamkos really isn't that great looking.
-
Gagner and Peter Mueller have also struck similarities to Stevie, but to way lesser extents. Toews is a pretty good two way player at this point. Way better than Kane, anyway.
-
The reason I don't agree with him getting 4M is because he's been so overpaid for the last 10 years that it should be about time to cut his salary, and not to the point where he's overpaid like he is now, but to the point where he's underpaid. Let's face it, the guy doesn't have to wait until payday to do groceries... He's rich enough for crying out loud.
-
No, but you implied that Crosby will get injured so much it's pathetic. Crosby may be a whiner, asshat, whatever... But his injury would not be a hangnail-esque injury that you'd see from Forsberg... It would be an injury as a result from playing so hard and pushing the bar night in and night out. I don't think it's fair to criticize Crosby for any injuries, really.
-
Not that I don't agree with you, but you don't know how these player could play through these injuries. Stevie was unfortunate to have these injuries, but there are ALOT of players with the passion and determination to fight through it. Look at Gary Roberts... The guy gets injured all the time and comes back into action mucking it up in corners and playing his heart out, even at 42-43 years old. There will never be another Stevie in terms of heart, maybe never in terms of leadership, but in terms of being the face of a falling franchise and having the ability to turn it around with elite skill, solid play at both ends, leadership, and drive... There can be another player comparable to Stevie in the future.
-
I hope he returns to full form next season. This kid is really good, and his presence could make or break the Bruins.
-
Crosby is an asshat because he got injured?
-
A total of 5 lists on here do not contain Thornton. I don't get it.
