Ducks 7. Flames 8. Coyotes East 1. Rangers 2. Pens 3. Habs 4. Flyers 5. Lightning 6. Caps 7. Bruins 8. Sens The Panthers and Kings will be last place in their respective conferences.

Winner: Lidstrom Runner-ups: Phaneuf and Zubov Wild card: Mike Green Zubov was plagued by injuries last season, but will bounce back this coming season.

Okay... Too much Wings talk around here. I love the Wings, but love the NHL as a whole too. So yeah, next season starts in October... I know this, but any idea as to who could win Calder? I've been having debates, but here it goes. One of these 3, IMO, will win it... Stamkos - He's going to probably be on the second line for Tampa and have a permanent role on the powerplay right away. Turris - Already has 3 games in, so he'll come in as a steady player. A top 2 line for Phoenix and a big go-to-guy. Bernier - I think he'll earn himself starter as the season progresses. As early as the first 2 weeks, when Labarbara has crappy nights and Bernier comes in and dominates. Who do you think has a shot? And is there any Wings that could potentially make a splash as a rookie sensation? Is Helm going to be considered a rook?

Who wants to put money on him being dealt at the deadline?

Well, if you want to be technical, he really isn't a Red Wing right now.

Points will be spread out fairly evenly between: 1a) Datsyuk 1b) Zetterberg 2. Hossa 3a) Holmstrom 3b) Franzen They will up their point per game averages this season, but not to a point per game. Next season is a definite.

He's locker room character, so hire him as an assistant coach or a trainer. He'd do great at both. I'll be honest though, there are 8-9 defensemen in our system better than him. Bigger, stronger, faster, and more skillful.

No way... A bunch of NHLers were asked who they hate the most in the NHL... It was probably 40% Avery and 60% Ruutu. Ruutu is the ultimate pest and his skill level is higher than Cooke's. I always thought that was unanimous.

Mike Green, Dion Phaneuf, Scott Niedermayer, Sergei Gonchar, Chris Pronger, Zdeno Chara, and even Rafalski can all be possibilities to be leading point getters... But it's undisputable to predict Lidstrom as the favourite.

Fedorov is worth between 2-3M, and that's being generous. If you were to compare everyone to Jeff Finger, than most of the NHL would have maximum salaries.

Great replacement for Ruutu. Ruutu's more of a pest and a better player than Cooke, but they took the best possible replacement.

The Wings aren't a lock, they are just favourites. The same team from last season... Kronwall and Franzen are better, and we added Hossa. FAVOURITES.

Helm played 25 games including playoffs though. If playoffs isn't included than that's just weird. Playoffs give you more experience than anything.
