Same deal with the Habs and Leafs fans I encounter. The only thing I bought was us buying our team, reasonable maybe in '02... Now, the excuses and logic I get is obsurd.

Well let's just hope Franzen is remembered more than Klima. I didn't know that about Klima either, 10 goals in 12 games is impressive as well, and now no one gives a s***. Franzen's legacy is stamped in my memories, I know that.

You should receive a game misconduct followed up by a $10,000 fine and a 20 game suspension for believing ESPN. Hell, it's a game misconduct alone for even going on their site.

I really want an 8-2 supporter to reply with their reasoning...
-
Well, won't have to say it again.
-
Even set the record for highest goal per game average in a series. Maybe a few more records if you really want to go in depth.

I found out today that my dad actually has him in his hockey pool. Oh dad...

The Wings were dominant when it was the original 6 days, the days where it only took 2 series to win the cup. After the expansion era, the Wings didn't really do much, and when they did do something was when (I could only find) Fedorov and Hull scored 10 in different years respectively. I'm close to positive this is the record.

Sakic ranks amongst the most respected players of all time. 1. Steve Yzerman 2. Bobby Orr 3. Mario Lemieux 4. Joe Sakic . . .
-
I'm beginning to think it is the record, no evidence I can find says it isn't.
-
Oh and yeah... The all time playoff record for most goals in a playoff season is 19 set by Reggie Leach and Jari Kurri. Not sayin' anything, just throwing it out there.
-
Is this really the club record for overall playoffs? I'm looking through some of the best players, and yeah, none have hit 11... Fedorov hit 10. This can't be the club record!

Torterella is a good coach, don't remove him... Especially to replace him with MELROSE. Hell replace him with Quinn... PIERRE ******* MCGUIRE would be a better choice... Melrose?! Tampa is guaranteed to have a better season with Stamkos there, what a way to blow it.
-
I'll say this right now... If this happened to the Wings in Detroit, subtract about 3/4 of the people who stayed to watch the remainder of the Avs game, and that's how many people you would see in the seats at the Joe.
-
Take into account that maybe some people who voted didn't watch hockey and/or the Wings back then. But yeah, anyone who knows, can without hesitation pick the 7-0 victory. So many factors come into play, it's unanimous.
-
7-0 was more clutch, and a healthier roster, so impressive. HOWEVER, for conversational purposes, this one did have perks. Franzen breaking Howe's record, and the ridiculous goal scored by Hank. The 7-0 game didn't really have any notable highlights to that extent. I'll say the 7-0 victory just for the clutch factor, and ending assclown's career. Edit: didn't end his career, I forgot he retired the season after... But it ended his playoff career.

He truly is one of the most accomplished hockey players ever. Hart, Pearson, Conn Smythe, Olympic gold medal, 2 Cups, and one of the most clutch playoff performers ever. Great guy, great player.
-
What exactly would be his motive to lie there like that then? He scores a goal, I'm pretty sure the first thing he'd want to do is celebrate with his teammates. Maybe if he didn't score, it'd be complete embelishment, but I really can't buy him just laying there like that after scoring. Brooks Orpik is a big guy, and a notorious head hunter, and it did look like Jagr got his clock cleaned.

Jagr got layed out, that hurts sometimes, Orpik is a big hitter. It's not like he was milking it for attention, he got nailed.

Tough to say, because he only coached like 3/4 of the season, but he has done great during his time. With that said though, I think Carbonneau will get it. I'm surprised Therrien isn't a nominee though.
