Theoretically, no. If a team lost 82 games in OT, they'd have 82 points. The 8th seed from each conference over the last few years at least has been a 90+ point team.
-
It should be... Win = 2 pts. Shootout loss = 1 pt. Loss (Regulation OR O/T) = ZERO.
-
What I remember most from that is Sergei's 5th goal... Vladdy coming in, between the legs feed to Sergei through the crease at a wide open cage.
-
#84, Guillaume Latendresse.
-
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned good ol' Sammy.
-
Is it just me or does that picture just seem awkwardly natural for Nick?
-
Nah, Malkin has more goals, points, points per game, and is also a bigger name than Savard. Malkin or Sundin before Savard for sure.
-
So who will replace him in the all star game? Malkin would probably be the unanimous choice, seeing as he deserves over maybe half the original roster.
-
The all star game has been on NBC, FOX, and ABC (I think) in the past, and yeah I agree... It definitely should have national coverage. Pro Bowl, NBA, and MLB all do.
-
I disagree... I wouldn't want the Wings to win game 4 of the finals in another team's barn just because Luongo felt like taking it off.
-
If Toronto gets the opportunity to draft Drew Doughty or Steve Stamkos.. That will clean this mess squeaky clean.
-
I hope the YoungStars game is a bit better and not pick up hockey esque.

Another award for Mr. Gretzky? I don't consider him in the front running now, but if the 'Yotes actually make the playoffs, a lot of credit should and could be awarded to Gretz. So Gretzky for coach of the year? Could you see it happening?
-
It's simple, predict them and see how close you are... Lundqvist Vokoun Gonchar Campbell Redden Buowmeester Kovalchuk Ovechkin Heatley Spezza St. Louis Sundin Malkin M. Richards E. Staal

Patrick Kane should play, but they want to use him for the young stars game. The thing that amuses me is Henrik making it over Daniel. AWESOME. Yeah, Ribeiro, Huselius, Leclaire, Henrik, and Rafalski were the 5 that got jipped.

Legit LOL

This is old news. Lidstrom is a phenom and has been for years now. He is the epitome of a perfect player/person. He doesn't make mistakes. Ever since the new millenium, he has been our UNANIMOUS MVP.

The dump competition doesn't suck, and people are still doing unique things. Anybody even catch the competition last year? It was amazing. Dwight Howard placing a sticker at the top of the backboard, Gerald Green jumping over Nate Robinson while covering his face, and Nate Robinson doing everything Spud Webb could do back in the day... The dunk competition is the best thing to watch, and it's not redundant every year at all.
-
As his career is hitting it's peak, it's time to make that decision. A guy without a cup, and a guy deserving a cup, will NOT win it with the team he is currently with. He deserves to win a cup, and I'd be happy to get that for him, with his help.

This quote should be the convincer.
-
Hank should go. He doesn't need rest, if anything he would need a workout, and nothing's more beneficial of a work out than the all star game.
-
Maybe as temporary as they come, but can't complain with Ty Conklin right now. Also, Fleury hasn't had a sniff of the elite status yet, but it's very likely that down the road, he will do more.
-
If the mandate was to compete for the cup ONE year, it'd be Luongo. If it was to build a franchise for years to come, it'd be Crosby.
-
Can someone do that color code with Ozzy too?
-
Wow, what kind of overpriced BS is that? I kid, I kid... Good signing.
