    5 minutes of Pavel

At least is correct... There's gracefulness, patience, playmaking vision, takeaways, and humbleness. All of these qualities Datsyuk excels at to the point where's he's the absolute best at it.

    Favourite Non Red Wing?

OH MY DEAR GOD... Well I don't know who's the bigger pimp now, him, or Hank... Everyone has seen the gal he's dating. or... Petr Nedved

    Favourite Non Red Wing?

Weird combo of skilled rookies, not so skilled enforcers, and a "where the hell did he come from" goalie. I like it. Oh and nice to see some Spezza appreciation. It has a lot to do with him being a Windsor Spitfire god, but if I had to choose one, it could be him.

    Dan Cleary

Babcock was not his coach in junior. Babcock coached in the WHL, Cleary played for the Belleville Bulls in the O. For what Cleary's potential was when he was in junior compared to what he actually accomplished could be considered by many as a disappointment. The year he was supposed to be drafted, he was projected a potential top 3 draft pick that year. Then he followed the same path as Esposito did this past draft. However, I am not disappointed in Cleary. When it comes to his work ethic, and casual point production, I couldn't ask for more. He has been a crucial part of our team since he came here.

THN says Lidstrom best European player

Wait is this best Euro to ever play in the NHL? If so then it can be a case, but if it's best European hockey player ever... You could include Tretiak, Kharlamov, Fetisov, or Larionov, maybe others.

Which Wing has impressed you the most this season?

It's fair to say lately Datsyuk has been better.

That's Steven Reinprecht, and odds are he is screaming like a girl... Don't forget, he's a former Av.

    Greatest Sports Movie

It's pretty tough not to like a movie with Kurt Russell. He was the guy who could have made or broke the movie as a whole. He played Herb Brooks the way Herb Brooks should have been played, an intense and committed coach with one option and that was to win, and he played it to a tee. I don't know, I like movies a lot myself, and to be honest, I don't normally like sports movies because of the typical endings... A team scores in the final seconds of a game to win, after such a horrific season, blah blah blah, I always find sports movies pretty cliche. This one was different, the hockey scenes were as realistic as the creators could possibly make them, and that's another thing that made this movie great. You knew exactly what was going to happen at the end of Miracle, but the steps it took to get there was the best thing about the movie. How Herb Brooks heavily disciplined his team. Aside from movies like Remember The Titans, Raging Bull, and maybe a few others, this movie didn't follow the ordinary sports movie cliche like other sports movies do.

    Greatest Sports Movie

Slap Shot is probably the best hockey movie ever made, with Miracle coming close second (all depending on what you're into at the time). However, Slap Shot, greatest sports movie ever? There has been way too many good boxing, football, and baseball films for that to contend with. And oh ya, the best sports movie is Raging Bull people, get it right.

Osgood in net for Phoenix; Hasek in net for Montreal

Well both teams really sucked last night, hopefully they can bite the big one again against our team.

    Music when Datsyuk scores?

I really miss the Irish Jig.

    Playmaking Goaltenders

Turco yes, but the disasters he pulled twice in one game last week really set him down just a notch. He's good though. Alot of goalies in the NHL are really good at playing the puck, it's easy to narrow down the goalies who are horrific at it though, notably Giguere and Hasek.

Hawks well over .500? Who knew? Oh ya that's right, ME!

    Kopecky Goal

Somebody said it was amazing that he had the ability to roof the puck when he was that deep into zone (2 or 3 feet behind the goal line). That isn't that hard to do, while I'll agree that the initial head fake was impressive, after that was all said and done, the shot wasn't as incredibly difficult as people put it out to be. 2 or 3 feet from the goal line isn't that tough of an angle.

Which Wing has impressed you the most this season?

I think it's pretty safe to say we can give the MVP title to Zetterberg. The fact that he has only had 1 assist in the past 2 games means that he's "slumping", and that's pretty impressive.

Sens fans around here, y'know... Biased bastards.

Osgood in net for Phoenix; Hasek in net for Montreal

Osgood should start the next 5 games, they're all tough. Then put Dom in against the Oilers.

    Kopecky Goal

At 2 or 3 feet from the red line, any professional player should be able to corner it.

    Hudler... over/under?

50 goals is tough, not too many guys get it. I can't see Hudler being in the elite category of guys like Heatley, Kovalchuk, Lecavalier, and Ovechkin. Nowadays, 50 goals is rare, and if it becomes more common via bigger nets, or smaller goalie equipment, I can't see a guy like Hudler netting 50. It's too big of a number, 50 goals is for the odd "A" player... I could only see Hudler reaching "B" status for his career. 35 goals is the most I can see, and that's being generous.

    Kopecky Goal

You can say it's kind of a contradiction, but the effortless looking goals aren't the highlight reel ones, they're alright, but not the best.

    Kopecky Goal

It was a nice head fake and what not, but I still found it a bit overrated. It was nice, just nothing too spectacular. One of those effortless looking goals you see from guys like Getzlaf and Lecavalier nightly.

Senators: five games without a win

People labelled them the New England Patriots of hockey. I said they'd slump eventually all along.

    11/29 GDT: Red Wings 4, Lightning 2

Ottawa lost, Detroit won... WHAT A NIGHT! Only downfall was the name Zetterberg not appearing on the scoresheet.

    NHL Approves New Schedule Format

For those not interested in opening the link, it's... 24 divisional games 40 in-conference games 15 non-conference games 3 wild card games against non-conference teams 26-4 in favour of the change. Excellent, excellent.
