This helmet was used by everybody in the junior leagues during the 80s.
-
He was 17 or 18 here, but he looks as if he's like 15.
-
I want them to go to red, yellow, and black... But with the stick logo.
-
I don't know Mr. Harold... I mean ever since after the lock out, alot of the big 6'6", 260 lb. goons have exited the league, probably decreasing the average.
-
I always wanted to go to one of these.
-
This guy is asking for up to $3.5M, I believe I heard on TSN. Way too much, sure he has alot of potential, still young, but damn... You don't just fork out a hefty contract like that to a guy with one half decent season under his belt. At least Dustin Penner has already proven his physical aspect.
-
It should be VERY interesting, but they will have 4 main guys, which will probably be the top 4 guys come that time. Getzlaf and Perry will probably both be extended long term, while Pronger and Giguere will also be there. Not to mention Bobby Ryan will probably be a steady second liner, maybe even first come that time.
-
WHAAAAAAAAAAT? Sure Yzerman did good beyond any expectations in his final 20 some odd games in the NHL, but his career should have been over physically speaking before the lockout. But yeah, it's Vladdy without question. If Sergei had left in the 97/98 season as expected, I'd probably say Sergei, if Shanny left in the 90's, I'd say Shanny, but Vladdy was the man. Probably would have raked in at least 2 Norrises too, because his career was getting better and better.

I can also see Franzen laughing from a distance. Chelios is the greatest.
-
Yes you are right. I made a goof. BUT... I do think we'd be one of the top 5 teams in the running, right behind Nashville and Colorado maybe.
-
Schneider always hits triple digits, I know it. However, Fedorov's shot is probably the same speed, but more ACCURATE.
-
Man, Forsberg makes Gordie Howe's career look like nothing.
-
Philly can barely afford a chocolate bar at this point.
-
Yes, you're right, but an agitator that isn't afraid to drop the mits? Oh yeah, you could include Chelios in that list too.
-
You're right but let's elaborate. There's 30 teams in the league, let's take a gander of the teams that can't afford him... Seeing as my prediction is he goes for 4M+. Minnesota Anaheim Boston Toronto NY Rangers Philadelphia That eliminates 6 teams. So you multiply your 3.33% x 6, which gives us 19.98%, good enough for 20%... Our chances of signing him are 20%.

I have a question, when Avery was traded, was it on good terms? I mean did he have a problem with the organization or vise versa?
-
You'd rather sign a guy that's a constant healthy scratch on a team with less depth than us?
-
25%. The other 75% hold the options of him signing with Colorado, Nashville, or retiring. It's not impossible though, the Swedish core of our lineup does make it at least a little bit probable.
-
For me it would have had to of been the possibility of a 2-0 series lead for the Sharks going to San Jose. Datsyuk's GWG that game was awesome.
-
I honestly think that's a dumb ass rule. A first year is a first year, age is just a number. Very stupid.
-
I can't see him playing. He played one OHL season, I don't think he's NHL ready, or NHL size.
-
NHL.com active list means so little, it's unbelievable. According to them, Mario Lemieux is still active.
-
What about Erik Johnson? There's also Peter Mueller, Tuukka Rask might play, Kyle Okposo, Derick Brassard, TJ Oshie, Andrew Cogliano... There's a few guys that make the cut, but if I were to predict the Calder finalists it would be amongst Jonathan Toews, Nicklas Backstrom, and I have a feeling Marc Staal will be the go to defenseman in New York... Seeing as they have no D.
-
Yeah, I'd rather have Sergei play the point on the PP than Sammy.
-
Forsberg's 700 games, and being injured notoriously really sets the decline. A consistant player like Lidstrom should get far more recognition than Forsberg. Forsberg is good though, probably the second best Swede (disputable with Sundin), and perhaps a top 5 European ever. I wouldn't say better than Lids though.
