I believe Lidstrom will play until he's 40. I think he has to start slowing down before he considers retirement. The guy is STILL at the peak of his game. It's not unheard of to retire at the peak of your career, but with Lidstrom, I can't see it happening.

At first I thought THOSE were the Calgary Flames jerseys, I was thinking what in the... Not really too much of a change though (with just the "C" on it. I like.

Dave Lewis should get back into coaching as an assistant. That's what he is, and he is a brilliant one. Head coaches are supposed to be the vocal hard-assed coaches that just want to win and don't really care about developing too much of a lovey dovey relationship with players. Assistant coaches follow the head's orders and are there for more moral support. Dave Lewis fits the description as a guy with the smarts, but not the type capable of throwing out orders. If there were any smart teams out there in need of an assistant coach, they'd hire him. Also, doesn't Dave Lewish give off a slight resemblence to Jim Leyland? Leyland is probably more louder on the bench, but they just seem the exact same in interviews.

Personally I think Boston had what it takes, underachieving and a not too verbal head coach not there to motivate them probably made it worse. Tim Thomas played great Chara didn't do bad, Savard did excellent, but guys like Bergeron and Murray could have played better which would have been granted under a harder coach. Firing Lewis was probably a good call. They should give Pat Burns another run, . But Bergeron was a huge flop this season.

Eliminating offsides? WOW. Much like toby, too tired to elaborate. Just wow.

The only way to watch them is live, I wouldn't tape them. They're boring. I watch them just for first hand knowledge of the outcome of every trophy.

Ken Daniels may be considered for Hockey Night in Canada job

See this would be great for me, I never see Daniels anyway because I don't have FSN. I just can't picture him commentating for any other team besides the Wings. -
It says in the article that he's on his way to becoming the best ever. He tied Bourque's norris total and looking to tie Harvey and Orr's. His career isn't over, but he might retire being one of the most accomplished d-man ever. I personally feel is tied with Bourque, and Harvey as reiging, second best defenseman ever.

Though he isn't a bad player, there are better fish in the sea.

Datsyuk's going to win many more Byngs, I can promise that. He has to be one of the most gentlemanly players EVER in the NHL.
-
AGREED. Everything went just as I expected, but I honestly didn't think Dats would win Lady Byng. Good for him, and good for NORRIS NICK too.

Okay, I saw a link on TheScore.ca saying that he was traded. Now this was on the site 3 days ago, so it seems pretty illegit to me. However, is something of this nature bound to happen? I mean has there been any rumours of this at all? Anyways the link that lead me to assume this... http://www.thescore.ca/sixpack/index.asp?n...;catID=Senators Also, I understand he has a NTC, but this could be waived.

Yeah, but a few NHL teams will have that. Buffalo already has pretty busy jersey.

Can't say I like them. I wanted them to go back to a more similar design of 94/95 and prior. These colors are just too identical to Colorado.

First 4 games, MAYBE. Games 5 and 6 were unanimously ours.

Yeah, before this season, I considered Wade amongst the elite defensemen. You would have Lidstrom, Pronger, Niedermayer, then coming up closely, Redden. I drafted him second on my fantasy team, so confident in him, but he underachieved so much at the beginning of the season in particular, that I tried to get rid of him and couldn't. This season alone he lost his elite status, IMO. Still a good defenseman, but was probably the 4th most effective on the team this playoffs, behind Volchenkov, Phillips, and Meszaros. I think he might need a new place to play, and he might very well bump up to that elite status again.

The most probable team has to be the Rangers, just because of the amount of Czechs they have and like to acquire.

Anytime Nick is out there is a favourite moment. I trust him in any given situation.

Yes, the Vancouver socks were all black at one point. I remember watching games in '96. For some reason it made Pavel Bure look faster, and I don't know why.

5.5 for Sundin is actually perfect. Sundin is a great player who scores clutch goals when needed. He doesn't make alot of mistakes and has great leadership, also great on the PP. The guy's just surrounded by a team of underachieving losers.

Are they for sure going to be using blue and green?
