Markov plays with grit, passion, heart, and every other quality essential. He's not slow and he's not lazy, why should him smoking matter? Wasn't Ted Lindsay a regular smoker back in the day? I believe his number is up in our rafters.

There is definitely no reason to look back, but I feel signing Shanahan isn't too bad. I mean he's aging, but he's still playing. He did well this season with no signs of slowing down. I wouldn't sign Shanny for the soul reason of re-living the past, but the fact that one of our needs will be a acquired a solid second liner, and Shanny wouldn't be a bad fit. He still has 2 good years in him.

Who is your favorite all time player, AND your favorite active player?

It's probably identical to alot of people. All time - Yzerman All time (non Wing) - Mario Lemieux Current - Zetterberg Current (non Wing) - Modano All time and current defenseman - Lidstrom All time defenseman (non Wing) - Macinnis Current defenseman (non Wing) - Weber All time and current goalie - Martin Brodeur -
Two words: Sheldon Souray. Unfortunately he wants to go to the Kings.
-
Something was said to him in disrespect, or he was just too emotional to even consider it. Who cares though.
-
If he wants to retire, he can retire. I love the guy, but you got to ask yourself, will our defensemen be as good next season? Will we again allow the fewest shots per game? Hasek had the easiest role of any starting goaltender and he excelled. However, with the POSSIBLE absence of Markov and/or Schneider, will he have another great year if he does stay? I feel he's capable, but with the possible weaker blue line, he would be at a bigger injury risk.

If it's Anaheim/Ottawa, I will be the biggest Ottawa supporter around. That will not be the case though.

The score's 3-3 with 10 seconds left, guess who's scoring the GWG. Yeah, that's right... MR. CLUTCH! -
The video where Coffey scored on his own net against Colorado in the '96 playoffs. SOMEONE GUIDE ME TO THIS, PLEASE. I will love you forever. Thanks in advance.

Haha, I know, I just wanted to show a friend that forgets the incident. I tried to YouTube it and no luck.

In the words of David Puddy... "LET'S GET IT ON!" -
When did Todd Bertuzzi go to prison?
-
I wouldn't say he's the best forward left in the playoffs either. Heatley is better than him as of now without question, Spezza and Alfredsson maybe, but I'd say them two are on par. Selanne and Zetterberg I feel are equal.
-
People say he looks alot like Johnny Depp, do you believe that Depp is going to be turning 44?
-
Our only hope was if Pittsburgh moved west and we all know that will not happen now. Maybe if the league expands to 32 teams, we will go east.
-
They asked him if they were a better team without the 41 year old, injured Steve Yzerman. His response was something like well they're not necessarily better, but with him out, it gives more opportunity for guys like Filppula, Kopecky, and Hudler. He said with that youth in the line up, we are a stronger, healthier team.
-
Id' rather it not go in that direction, but if you lose game 5, I'll have something to thrive off of at least.
-
The question being who upped their game the most? Easily Lilja. As a matter of fact, he has upped it so much that it is forgotten around here that he was the ultimate laughing stock of LGW. Many of us would rather have Lebda scratched then him in a heartbeat, and that never, NEVER was the case in the regular season. He's been playing phenomonal.

To us, home ice really, really does matter for one reason... DATSYUK AND ZETTERBERG PERFORM.
-
We are 4-0 in afternoon games on NBC so far this playoffs outscoring opponents 15-5. I'm pretty sure this one is ours.
-
Hasek has been considered by many a Conn Smythe favourite. I feel he is undisputedly the second best player on the Wings right now (behind you know who). The crucial saves he has made have been magnificant. Ozzy is a good goalie, but I doubt we'd be as far as we are now with him there. The only thing he does better is play the puck.
-
On the road, seemingly the best players are never Datsyuk and Zetterberg. When we're on the road, we get scoring from guys like Cleary, Bertuzzi, Lang, and a few others. Point being, our best players are never our best players on the road, so why bother?

I think we won both games that Nicklas Lidstrom was absent from.

It was Mother's Day today and I was at my Grandma's house sitting with a few relatives watching the World Championships. Canada won and my uncle made a good point about how there is a slight possiblity of him getting offered a job with another NHL team as GM. My uncle said that even the Coyotes could call him up to be their new GM, who knows? I was like hell no, he won't leave Detroit, but he then said that well I'm sure if he was offered a GM position, he'd take it over the current position he has with the Wings. Which had me thinking, could it be possible? Could it be possible for Steve to leave Detroit and ultimately manage another team? I just can't fathom under this circumstance, but I do consider it a possibility.
