You know, about Shanny, it's been a full season and I still have a hard time looking at him in a Rangers uni, it hasn't sunk in. Shanny was my favourite player for a long ass time.

He would have had far more than 89 points, IMO. He was averaging 2 points per game before he got injured.

His offensive contributions are non-existant, but it doesn't matter. He remains one of the best PKers in the league, AND one of the hardest workers. He's also locker room character, once him, Cheli, and Draper are all gone, I believe we will not be the same character-wise in the room. That is also a big factor. Maltby's extension was great, it will not hurt us.

Whatever. We beat the San Jose Sharks who were the hottest team going into the playoffs, and the Western Conference favourite. People don't know jack.

Yzerman is better than Messier in alot of people's opinions, but it's not an outrage to say Mess is better than Yzerman. It's opinions, and very respectable ones. With all that said, I would put Maurice Richard ahead of both. -
This argument all goes to an end until we find out how good he does at training camp. The Wing staff will be the ones to determine his ability at training cap. If he's good enough, he will get a spot, plain and simple.

Okay, it's early, yes. I know I'll see some "well wes gotsta get by San Jose first lolzors~!!~!!" posts, but bear with me. I'd absolutely love Detroit/New York finals. For so many obvious reasons. 1. I HATE the Rangers. 2. An original 6 match up would be sweet, and 3. Shanny vs. his old team. The funny thing is, it is possible. A Rangers/Red Wings final is very possible and would be something that I would LOVE to see.

It's scary how a team gets to the WCF on an 8-2 record. However, personally I feel that they haven't faced really hard teams, they lucked out. If they would have faced San Jose like I expected, they'd be in the same prediciment as us, I guarantee it.
