Pens/Sens on CBC, that should end exactly at 9:30 which is perfect. They better not head in to OT.
-
Lang may be third on that list in giveaways, but when it comes to crucial giveaways, he probably takes the cake. I mean there's guys like Jagr, Thornton, Kovalchuk, St. Louis, and Ovechkin. Those guys like to handle the puck in the offensive zone alot, thus over 50% of the time the puck will be taken away, it's nature. Lang gets the puck taken away in crucial moments, and in crucial areas, like deep in the neutral zone, and in the defensive zone.

Zetterberg looks fine. You're obviously not watching him play and just basing your judgments entirely on stats.

I'd have to say Pittsburgh/Ottawa. Two very exciting teams, both sides stacked with incredible offense, and both very determined teams. San Jose/Nashville is very arguable as of now, but I prefer Pens/Sens. Watching their games, my heart leans towards Pittsburgh, which is very shameful as a Canadian hockey fan, and moreso an Ontario hockey fan, but something about it gets me excited when Pittsburgh scores. I enjoy watching this series like crazy. What series do you enjoy most thus far, aside from ours?

I'm watching it on CBC, it better not!

Flames - Reghyr = NOT AS GOOD. Wings 3-1. -
Yzerman, Vladdy, Fischer... Let's not give the cup to the best (or second best) player throughout the playoffs.
-
Okay, let's determine the cup winner through a shootout, let's do it! Let's get rid of the most exciting thing in the playoffs, sudden death, let's do it! Dumb.
-
That had to be the toughest team ever. I mean McCarty and Probert alone would have to constitute that.
-
Sign Naslund, so somebody can attack him causing Bertuzzi to break another neck.
-
Top 3 on the LOD line: 1. Lindros 2. Leclair 3. Renberg Top 3 on the suggested, LOD line: 1. Bertuzzi 2. Lang 3. Franzen With those rankings... Lindros > Bertuzzi Leclair > Lang Renberg > Franzen Just too much of a stretch to declare a possible line like that and compare 'em to one of the top lines in NHL history.

Okay boys, I know this is doubtful, but if, and I mean IF Detroit loses the first game (even second), just remember... 2002!
-
That video was perfect. A series of mesmerizing highlights, a thing of beauty.

Yeah, a twist from the other thread. You can pick any player from any era in his prime. Has to be from the NHL not, I don't want to see no Sergei Obscurerussiannameov or Alexei Whothehellisheov from Russia. Comprende? With that said, mine are... Bobby Hull - Gretzky - Howe Bossy - Lemieux - Richard Ovechkin - Fedorov - Bure Probert - Hunter - O'Reilly (Good luck against this line) Orr - Stevens (Try and hit Orr now, bastards) Bourque - Coffey Lidstrom - Macinnis (Lidstrom's playmaking ability on the PP with Macinnis's shot, good game) Harvey In net: Roy Sawchuk
-
After further research, you're right. Where in the hell did I read that he won? I clearly don't remember the actual event.
-
Runner-ups in brackets. Hart - Crosby (Brodeur, Luongo) Vezina - Brodeur (Luongo, Kipper) Byng - St. Louis (Datsyuk, D. Sedin) Selke - This is kind of a shot in the dark, but Langkow (Zetterberg, Lehtinen) Calder - Malkin (Staal, Stastny) Norris - Lidstrom (Niedermeyer, Pronger) Adams - Nolan
-
The game will go into overtime, causing Toronto to not make the playoffs.
-
Datsyuk won an all star speed skills competition, 03 or 04 forget. That never means anything though.
-
An all-Russian line with that would be amazing, even though Ovechkin is n00b. I felt bad now putting Yzerman in, but I had to flutter the other center line with Gretzky/Lemieux. The 4th line was a semi joke, but it would still be destructive.
-
I'm suprised nobody has put the Sedins with snipers. I mean, imagine the Sedins with... Ovechkin, Gaborik, Selanne, Iginla, Heatley, Lecavalier, Hossa, etc, etc... The Sedins made Anson carter a 30 goal scorer, they can probably put one of those guys in the 60s or 70s, my word.

This the one where Gretzky said Crosby will hit 200 points? I haven't read. I don't know, 200 points seems whack, but I didn't believe he'd win Art Ross this year either, hahaha. A little off topic, but can anybody recall at the beginning of the season, some reporter or whatever made a prediction that Crosby would lead the league in scoring and absolutely nobody believed him? Just thought I'd bring that up.

Ovechkin - Datsyuk - Kovalchuk Crosby - Zetterberg - Hossa Lecavalier - Thornton - Iginla Avery - Draper - Neil Lidstrom - Phaneuf Neidermeyer - Gonchar Kaberle - Pronger Visnovski
