    2010 Team USA

Nice roster, but I think Komisarek will make the team ahead of Gilbert.

Who has the best hockey mask?

I never really actually looked at Howard's, it's a sweet concept. A speedometer with the retired numbers... Sick.

    Next Great Wings player?

There's no way he was top 10 for Norris in 03/04... I mean he obviously played pretty well, but points do play a big factor when it comes to Norris. He had 38 points and was 22nd in points by defensemen. I don't know what site would give this info, but are you sure that he was amongst the top 10 in Norris voting?

    7 on 4 hockey

"The last time we saw this was during Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals when the Pittsburgh Penguins had six skaters on the ice for 21 seconds. Pittsburgh would end up winning that game 4-2. " ...Bastards.

Amazing goal by a 9 year old...

At the age of 9, if I knew that move existed, I'd be practicing it in my backyard or at hockey practice consistently, then I'd be a YouTube sensation too...
  7. Just a top 5 list of your all time favorite players that have never played a game for the Wings... Not asking for much . Mine looks like... 1. Mario Lemieux 2. Cam Neely 3. Pavel Bure 4. Scott Stevens 5. Jonathan Toews

    Maple Laughs

About Kadri... They should have gave him a few regular season games before they moved him down. I understand Ron Wilson's idea of wanting him to develop as a star and not play in the NHL with any mediocrity, but he could have still played, what is it, 10 regular season games to see if he could really produce on the bigger stage. It makes all worlds happy.

    Coaching change idea

When I first glanced at this, I thought you were talking about moving Babcock... I was going to say, Detroit is right across the border, and I wouldn't have a problem driving there and duking it out . But yeah, I wouldn't mind Gallant in the coaching staff at all.

    Next Great Wings player?

I do not approve of this message! His speed, skill, heart, and hockey sense is highly unmatchable... He's going to be a star right away in the NHL.

    Next Great Wings player?

We never saw any superstars when Zetterberg and Datsyuk were deep in the ranks now did we? Let's just hope that's the case. Maybe one of the non-ranked notables on HockeysFuture.com has a shot...

Leading the league in PP goals? That's for defensemen I assume...?

Greatest Individual Seasons in Red Wings History

How was Yzerman's 1989 season overrated...? Okay, scoring was ridiculous during that era, but as mentioned, only 2 other players had more then 155 points in a season ever, and they happen to be Gretzky and Lemieux. The fact that he had a Selke voting was the icing on the cake. 155 points plus a Selke voting is overrated? In what world?

How the NJ Devils treated Brendan Shanahan...

Nothing to see, I agree... Even if it was a tad classless, he still doesn't have to wait until payday to buy groceries... He's still rich.

Your top 5 favorite all time non Wing players?

How could anyone like this guy? He never passed the puck. No passion, no fire, no defensive awareness, just a little bit of flash in the offensive end. I like the other players on your list, but a little bit of North American pride wouldn't hurt...

Greatest Individual Seasons in Red Wings History

I LOL at you calling Lemieux and Gretzky "freaks." But hey, they were. I'd give some of Lidstrom's seasons consideration... Every season he played was fantastic, with the exception of the lack of points in 03/04, but he was still a valuable asset. Half of his seasons could have been Hart-worthy and had we won Hart, nobody should put it past him at all. Plus, Datsyuk's season last 2 seasons... Selke trophy, Lady Byng, incredible plus/minus, and 97 points.

He could have meant Kevin Stevens.

    Top 3 Former Wings

I didn't read the "why" part... 1. He seems to be one of the top young d-man in the league when it comes to both offensive and defensive responsibility. He could be used as a second PP pairing with Kronwall, and a great addition to our line up. 2. Nostalgic purposes I guess, I always liked him, and has one good year left in the tank. Him and Datsyuk would be lethal together. 3. Good for the second PP unit, and the PK... Now with Franzen gone especially, using his help would certainly not hurt.

Didn't this kid prove enough last two playoff seasons? He should be in full time.

    Heatley's great start...

Are you happy or unhappy to see Dany Heatley getting off to a fantastic start? He's already at 5 goals, 5 assists in 10 games tied for the league lead with Ovechkin. Some hate him for demanding a trade... But me personally, I didn't feel a player of his caliber deserved to be in the mess that was the Ottawa Senators. So I think it's good to see he has developed chemistry in San Jose and he will be battling for the Rocket Richard trophy... True?

Your top 5 favorite all time non Wing players?

I always found him overrated... It seemed like the puck just came to him as he slammed home rebounds and some of the sloppiest goals ever, but hey, ugly ones count too.

With you I was expecting something like... 1. Tie Domi 2. Rob Ray 3. Dale Hunter 4. Marty McSorley 5. Ron Hextall

    Heatley's great start...

It's not delusional to think that a multiple 50 goal scorer is likely to compete for the Richard trophy...
