They are both very good stick handlers, and we've both seen how they can do in shootouts. Forsberg, 94 Olympics.. Crosby, well, you know.
-
Yeah, but he's rich, so who cares?
-
I hope you're right.
-
I don't want any nobodies!

IF YOUR WHERE OFFERED THIS TRADE WOULD YOU TAKE IT

This isn't even debatable. I'd trade Staal for anyone on the Wings, except Lidstrom of course. -
But he isn't even that publicized...
-
There isn't alot I'd trade him for, but there are guys out there.
-
Zetterberg > Huselius.. Simple as that.
-
Dumbest thread ever.
-
Keeping him on the team is a huge significant part of their success. If they were to get rid of him, Sens could get less success as a team. He produces in so many ways.. He's not the player you'd want to just "dump." If this is legit, Ottawa is dumb.
-
They'd be crazy not to put him on the Canadian junior team. I wish this guy was on the Spits.
-
Okay!!!

Best offensive defensemen are Gonchar and Niedermeyer, quite easily. Best of this era is Leetch. Best ever.. Well, you know who. best of this era is paul coffey as he has more than enough stats to warrent it. Paul Coffey isn't THIS era. This era is late 90's/00's.. Well that's the era I was referring to.

Schneider is no slouch, and is easily better than Berard and Tarnstrom. Even so, Lidstrom is the best, and I'de rank Schneider in the top 10, especially after last year. Why do you assume when you fight you go on the penalty kill? For the 900th time, Bowman, Babcock, and Holland say we need more toughness. Here is a young capable, cheap guy who won't log a ton of minutes, but is capable of playing hockey and fighting. I would love to sign a boxer, or maybe Tank Abbot if he learns how to skate. McCarty actually took boxing lessons. Yes, Lidstrom is the best defensemen in the league. If not 2nd best, but being the best defenseman doesn't make you the best offensive D-man.

Tough guys are intimidation for the other teams. You NEED a tough guy. It's value.

I'll say this, I want Lapointe back just as much as Sergei. BUT over everybody, Vladimir Konstantinov.. I KNOW... It won't happen and I apologize if it's insulting for me to say it, but he was awesome. I often wonder what kind of player he would be now. Norris? Maybe. I miss him.
-
Wrong. Leech, Niedermeyer, Tarnstrom, Gonchar, Berard, Pronger, Zidlicky, Zubov... Just to name a few. I would consider Schneider a 2 way defenseman, and Lidstrom's definately defense. Yeah, 2 of the best offensive defenseman, if you want to add 15 other defenseman to the table.

9 points in the first 2 games? Wow. Have him average 4.5 PPG all season, that's over 350 points right there! Kidding.
-
Datsyuk for Smyth, and Laroques.. Far fetched?
-
I liked Thomas when he last played with the Wings, but he's older this time around. 2+ years really make a different for someone his age.
-
Oh, but the Wings are nothing this year.. :/
-
Very good offence yet. But WE want Ryan Smyth dammit.
-
That would be awesome. Mark Stuart is what we may need. He's gritty with a decent size, and Samsonov's play is fairly equal to Datsyuk's. I'd be willing.
