Washington trading their 1st pick in 2006? WASHINGTON?! A team that will place a high spot in the draft, most likely 1st. If this deal does happen, I wouldn't care mainly because of that. I wouldn't mind getting the first overall pick in 2006. I'd just rather it not happen for safety purposes.

Well, we would get the better end of that. Kozlov, who was great on the Wings, would probably be even better the second time around, and Stefan was a former 1st overall draft pick, so I'd take it. I'd much rather just get Smyth for Dats though.

Used to be Vancouver, but nowadays it's Calgary. I'm a huge Iginla fan. I'm semi-related to McCarty. Guys like Leopold, Regehr, Ference, and Reinprect are all fun to watch too. Them beating us out of the second round was depressing, but I have the upmost respect for the team. I don't really have a problem with any Canadian teams really except Toronto. I hate Toronto.

Hossa for Datsyuk, yes maybe. Lidstrom for Wedden or ANYBODY for that matter, no thanks at all. Lidstrom will be a legendary Red Wing along with Howe and Yzerman. He's the future leader of the club. Not happening, he'll never leave.

Umm, why was this moved when it isn't even a rumour? I'd take Datsyuk for all those minus Havlat. Solid player, but no comparison. I'm a HUGE Spezza fan though, I went to nearly all of the home Spitfire games when he was on the Windsor Spitfires. He dominated like a mad man, and to see him in a Red Wing jersey is a dream of mine. Legit. Spezza is due for a breakout season.
