in an interview last year i saw bettman say that they wanted to run the schedule for the 3 years that is was suppose to.. You can probably look forward to the schedule changing for the 08-09 season.

I actually believe the owners have the final decision on almost anything that is brought forward to Bettman. So if you don't like the job bettman does, you will also have to blame the owners as well. Nothing passes Bettman without the owners knowing about it and they all have the chance to veto it down.

i don't know if Eklund and Spector should be in the same category. Eklund and his "people" post random rumours that people have heard with nothing backing it up. All spector does is post comments about rumours that are in either in actual news papers or some people listening to sport talk radio in various markets.
