    Post-GAME 3 (4/30): Sharks 2, Red Wings 1 F

I find it absolutely psychotic that Hasek is shouldering any of the blame for this loss. Sure, slam Dom for the softie he gave up in Game 2 when he mishandled the puck, but it's simply unrational to say that the goals he allowed tonight would be considered soft by any stretch of the imagination. How could you possibly say Hasek lost the game for us when the Wings were under siege for the entire third period? The Wings have provided Hasek with three goals so far in this series to work with, but yeah, you're right, he deserves to get "ripped a new one" in the lockerroom. Those of you blaming Dom are simply hiding from the fact that our D looked as slow, and as old, and as absolutely lost as it did last year against Edmonton. Except unlike last post-season, San Jose has actual talent. The Shark forwards were absolutely unstoppable along the boards, and Thornton was given all the time in the world behind the net because nobody can take the puck away from him without taking a penalty.

GAME 3 (4/30): Red Wings @ Sharks- 10:00 PM ET

What is Bertuzzi thinking there? And we will never win this series if Hank and Pavel continue to be shut out on the road.

    Is that a joke?

GAME 3 (4/30): Red Wings @ Sharks- 10:00 PM ET

Pathetic. We've played an awful third and San Jose's go-ahead goal was inevitable.

GAME 3 (4/30): Red Wings @ Sharks- 10:00 PM ET

We look tired and totally outmuscled out there right now. The Wings have gotten absolutely nothing going in this third period so far.

GAME 3 (4/30): Red Wings @ Sharks- 10:00 PM ET

We look dead in the water out there. We needed more than just one goal when we were dominating this game.

Don't even start with that garbage.

GAME 2 (4/28): Sharks @ Red Wings (LIVE)

Quite the start we're having. It's nice to see these guys came ready to play once again.

    Good Series, Hats off

That's very classy of you Jiggy, and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we were glad to have you posting here throughout the series. The Wings looked really determined, especially for Games 5 and 6, because I'm sure they didn't want to get embarassed again in the first round. Detroit really matched Calgary physically, and I think that was the key to the series.

    Post-GAME 6: 4/21 Red Wings 2, Flames 1 (2OT)

The better team won this series, no question. We absolutely dominated at home, and on the road, the games were reasonably well matched. I'm glad we didn't have to go 7 games with Calgary. At least Detroit will have a little bit of rest before they start the second round. I hope Lebda gets back to 100% ASAP, but in the meantime, Quincey looks like a very steady replacement.

GAME 6 - 4/22 Red Wings at Flames (LIVE)

The double standard for goalie interference in this game (as well as the entire series) has been absolutely unbelievable. Holmstrom might have made contact with Kipper's stick, but that was it. Meanwhile, Iginla is allowed to do whatever he wants in Dom's crease.
  12. The NHL suspending Jamie McLennan for five games is possibly the most redundant suspension in the history of the game. Does anybody think it affects Calgary in the least that their full-time bench warmer is going to miss a game or two? What stupidity. IMO, Langkow's grabbing of Lebda's head and punching him was worse than what McLellan did, I'd rather have him suspended for concussing Lebda. And I'm fine with no punishment being handed out to Iginla. What he did was pretty classless, but it's certainly not up there with the actions of Langkow and McLellan. That being said, Jarome was an absolute clown the entire game. He should keep his mouth shut once in a while.

    Game 5: (4/21) Flames @ Red Wings - 3:00 PM ET

Datsyuk and Zetterberg destroyed the Flames today.

Datsyuk just owned Phaneuf. Take a seat Dion.

    Game 5: (4/21) Flames @ Red Wings - 3:00 PM ET

They gave it to Zyuzin, who I thought was in front of the net.

From now on can we shutup with the whole "shutout" thing? Honestly, stop saying it. And Lang can just stay on the bench, I'm getting tired of watching him.

    Game 5: (4/21) Flames @ Red Wings - 3:00 PM ET

Clearly that's a high stick. The player knocked it down, and it went in the top corner.

Nice giveaway by Lang after a great stop by Dom.

And Iginla's trying to start something with Lidstrom. His act is getting old.

Great block by Sammy. I'll give him credit for that one.

Datsyuk to Zetterberg for the goal. Yeah, Z's back.

    Game 5: (4/21) Flames @ Red Wings - 3:00 PM ET

According to NHL.com, it happened with 3 seconds left. Anyways, I agree with you about Iginla. I understand he's upset about being down a couple goals right now, but sometimes he comes off like such a baby. Him and Lidstrom are polar opposites when it comes to the way they wear the "C".

    Game 5: (4/21) Flames @ Red Wings - 3:00 PM ET

It's amazing how different of a game he's played this post-season as opposed to what he was like against Edmonton year. The Schneider-Lilja pairing has been much better defensively than I thought they would be going into the series.

    Game 5: (4/21) Flames @ Red Wings - 3:00 PM ET

Sure it's a legal hit, but it was far from necessary. There was no time left on the clock for the Flames to make a play, and Cleary did not see Giordano coming.
