What a third period! Sundin almost tied it up in the dying seconds to send it to OT but was stoned by Miller. The Leafs really cannot throw away games like that if they want to make the playoffs.

Although I agree that Lang has been a solid post-season producer in his two years here, it's been more than just one bad turnover. Lang makes a habit of making dumb lazy giveaways in the neutral and offensive zones that lead to odd-man rushes the other way.

Me too. I've loved him ever since he was on Sportsnet, back when they showed national NHL broadcasts. The guy always seems to know what he's talking about.

We really need to lay off the penalties. Vancouver got a ton of chances in that period.

Kindl has been panned for his lack of a mean streak given his size, so it's very promising to see he's willing to get a little nasty once in a while. Nobody wants to see him turn into a cheapshot artist at the NHL level, but he could certainly add a more physical element to his game.

Hockey's Future Top 50 prospects Spring 2007: 11-25 Jimmy Howard is ranked as the 25th best prospect in the league by the people over at Hockey's Future. I thought that might be a little high given the fact that he hasn't really built upon his solid season in the AHL last year, but it's nice to see that he's getting noticed.

I hope so. Sammy's relentless barrage of weak unscreened shots aren't going to help us in the post-season. I'd like to see a Hudler/Filppula/Cleary line in the playoffs at some point.

I'm not a big fan of Lang getting the second star. The offence he brings is nice for sure, but those ridiculous giveaways of his really need to stop.

Our goalies outplayed their's in back-to-back games. That's nice to see. Sucks to hear about Filppula, though. He looked great last night.

They should both be playing, IMO.
