I am in this at about the 3:13 Mark... LOL I was a dork. Does anyone know where I can get a DVD copy of this?
-
I like the Lapperriere idea if Modano doesn't pan out, don't know enough about Cote.
-
Carcillo won't come here, Philly won't sign and trade. But maybe Laperriere, what does he make?
-
Why do you assume that they would pay the other 3 or 4 players 1 each and Modano 3 plus. I would agree they can offer him more, but I would think they would spread that out more evenly. As far as what he's thinking you're right. No one can know what's more important but I would say it's 50/50 Detroit and San Jose.

1.25 Million, your home town, a chance at a cup. > 2.10 Million, California, a chance to be knocked out in the first or second round.
-
What about a 46yr old Chelios for our cheap veteran stay at home defensman? Look I am under no delusions that he would be a fixture on the blue line but he could help bring along the kids and play here or there. I am saying if we sign Modano and the other cheaper options don't look all that attractive??? P.S. I too think 1.25 is fair, he won't get much more from Minnesota or San Jose, only the Ducks can afford to over pay for him if they so desire.

I am thinking that Babcock makes 3-3.5million he was when he signed the highest paid coach in the league so Holland should make more than that. Yzerman makes 2.5-3mill doesn't he? I would say Holland is 5million plus

LOL who cares, I don't care if he was on a bus in Toronto on his way to the HHOF it's still funny! That's like saying you do know Mel Gibson was drunk and angry right????
-
When Stan said we had to give up the plane and take a team bus because of the cap, I had no idea THIS is what they meant!
-
agreed

Probably about a wash then in terms of offense with Hudler providing the better bargin right now and Sharp providing the better grit.
-
Let's hope not... if Hudler explodes we won't be able to afford him. How about a gradual increase in production? How long is Sharp signed for?
-
I am thinking this has to be a loyalty two-way contract. Not that Malts can't contribute in some form, but there are better players with a similar game in the system. Look for Malts to spend most of the season in GR unless there are significant injuries.
-
I like it but there are two problems well three really, Cleary has a NTC up until the trade deadline of 2012. Second Chicago isn't going to deal Sharp to someone in their same division let alone their own conference if you can help it, and finally it's pretty one sided towards Detroit aside from the income relief. But I like it.

I know it's a bit premature but I was hoping to be able to watch some... most of Hasek's games next year. Anyone know where I can get good feeds or if they show them on NHL network or anything? Thanks!

There was no other option, no plan b, read the articles Holland isn't waiting on Modano. Plan a is Modano, plan b is no Modano, it's that simple, and other late summer additions will happen either way. The difference will be the amount of cap space left over and if we have to move Ritola/Meech.

All these beat writers are just speculating, none of them have any sources, the only team that can really offer him more money is Anaheim. The sharks and wild are in similar cap situations. Look I am not saying he's coming, but don't write him off based on the beat writers opinions with no sources, as time goes on what sells more newspapers, speculating he isn't coming or saying everything is fine, Mike is just relaxing this summer. No one except Mike knows what he is thinking right now.

Are the Chelios boys Wings prospects??? I'm sure they're not. How long till they are draft eligible? Wings should trade to ensure they draft them both if it calls for it!
-
Honestly, I don't think many people in Detroit at the Joe for a concert wouldn't know our top prospects if they were to see them. The problem with drafting in hockey in general is that it will be 3+ years before you see 99% of these guys in the NHL, if at all. Football is different. NCAA football is BIG in the US and once a player is drafted they are usually roster players right away. edit: They wouldn't know...

That is just that writers expectation, not fact. I haven't heard Osgood say anything about retiring. In fact he has given quite the opposite impression to me. There are certain goals he want's to accomplish and given the year he had last year, he wasn't able to make much headway. Now if this year is the same as last, well then he might look at retirement, I love Jimmy, but I for one see a bounce back year for Ozzie with closer to a 50/50 game distribution, if Osgood plays well.

Thanks Pucktividi!'
