    Anybody else see this?

Its actually a reference to a obscure hip/hop song... Google it, there is a song called "I left my wallet in El Segundo"

    Injury updates...

Very nicely done! I appreciate the effort put into this so I only have to hit this thread and all is tasty. Looks like we may be relatively back to normal within a month!

    Oh Wayne...

In no way do I mean to offend any of the perfectly nice and respectable homosexual members of this community by comparing them to this photo but one word comes to mind when I view this... ***!!!

    Drew Miller

    Ditto *******!

    Halak on the Trading Block

If Howie weren't playing well this might be an option, I think the Wings are more likely to look for a slightly over-the-hill veteran if our goaltending breaks down. We have three future goalies already...

Who would you move for Kovalchuk?

I think the Wings would entertain the idea of bringing him here and would even give up significant assets to make it happen. However it would come down to wether the Wings believed that they could get an extension done with him or not. They aren't going to give up, Flip, Kronwall, Etc for a rental player.

Holy s*** Todd!!!! Keep this s*** up brother!

    Jimmy Howard watch thread

That's because he is having difficulty absorbing the puck and as a result is giving up juicy rebounds. I am not bashing him, I think he has come a long way from the beginning of the year, but he makes easy saves look far to difficult because of a lack of puck control at times. If he can learn to fix this short coming he could be great.

    Next years Cap Numbers

I see Matlby and Homstrom in place of Johnson and Meech, and Kovalchuk can make no more than Zetterbergs deal. If we were to sign him it would be something long term again with a cap hit between 5-6 million but I like where you are going with this!!! Lets get him at the trade deadline!!!

    Hossa's Back

Oh yeah! He's great!!! He has six Norris trophies and is captain of the Red Wings.

    team usa olympic team

When do they announce the Team USA roster? I was hoping to be able to get a Hasek Czech jersey this year, but since that's out it might be a Team USA Miller or Rafalski.

    Top 3 Former Wings

We all know that LGW can be nostalgic sometimes even to a fault, so name 3 players who at one time were Red Wings and why you think they would help our current team. 1. Hasek- He's in contention for the olympics so we know he can still compete, he and Ozzie got along great and he could win 15-20 regular season games as Ozzie's 1b backup. 2. Fedorov- I think Sergei could fill in cheaply for the gap that Johan's injury left 3. Kyle Quincey- thought it was a mistake to let him go instead of Meech, look at his offensive upside. I would put Hossa on the list, because I have always liked him, but due to his surgery and timing of his return he would bring little value at this point.

How frequent do you guys go to games?

I go to about 12-15 games a year including the playoffs. So far this season I've been to Toronto in the pre-season, Washington in October and Boston in November, I am supposed to go tonight but since it' an hour before the game and I am still home doesn't look like it will happen...don't ask s***ty night.

Andy Strickland: "Wings and 'Hawks lead Forsberg race"

I would take Forsberg for a Bertuzziesque contract.

    crosby fights

It's ok to respect a players ability and still dislike him because he isn't a Wing. I hated as much as the next guy last June and I will hate him again tomorrow, but tonight even I can admit that was a great fight for a player with his scoring abilities.
  21. Welcome back Todd, I however don't blame him for leaving, with the impending civil suite he needs every dollar he can get and it ended up working quite well for him financially all things considered. 4 million his first season in Anaheim, bought out for 2 million his second year and signs a 2.5 million dollar deal with Calgary.

What can Lidstrom do to fire up the boys?

How do you know he's not motivating the team? How do you know he's not part of the reason the Wings rallied the last two games. Unless you're in the locker room or Nick holds a press conference to let you know what speech he's planning between the 2nd and 3rd none of us know. /thread

What's the Story Behind This Incident?

The "other" story that played out that year that seems to be omitted from this book is the part about Hasek walking into Ken Hollands office and returning the rest of the six million dollar contract he had just signed with the Red Wings. It was an unprecedented move and the first time in pro-sports history that an athlete volunteered to return guaranteed money. Ken Holland later said it was a very classy move and a lot of the reason the Red Wings decided to give it another go with Dom in 2006. As far as who was in the wrong that year, no one really. I am sure Cujo and Dom were both frustrated with the situation. The Red Wings took a gamble bringing Dom in with Cujo under contract and it didn't pay off they weren't able to move his top heavy contract after his mediocore performance the previous year. I think both Dom and Cujo and Manny for that matter are stand up guys for different reasons, but Dom and Cujo espically handled the situation as best as could be expected. Hats off to both of them!

    I Hate This

What if it wasn't a monkey with a helmet, in fact what if it wasn't a monkey at all? What is if was a chimp? Hmmm Some chimps in swimsuits Some chimps in Jackboots Some chimps in hard hats Some chimps who love cats I've got some shaved chimps; that's chimps devoid of any hair I've got depraved chimps dressed up in women's underwear. Another postcard with chimpanzees And every one is addressed to me. Every one is, every one is, every one is addressed to me. Every one is, every one is, every one is addressed to me.
