The artile is just one persons opinion. The fact is if Hossa wants to stay here bad enough he will. I believe that Kenny will do everything he can to keep Hossa long term. Keep in mind, Kenny offered Hossa a long term deal last summer before he signed the one year. That's before Zetterbergs extension. If he does leave, I will wish him the best.

Some of the goals last night were defensive break downs, but as many have pointed out you get a good goaltender to cover defensive breakdowns. If the defense doesn't ever make a mistake one could argue that nearly anyone with the basic mechanics and a few years of NHL experience could tend goal. That being said I am not hanging him completely out to dry. There really are no other options out that. Either Osgood will work through his lapse in play or he won't if he doesn't Babcock will go with Ty. That's all there really is to it. We can discuss all we want and yes it is a concern but the fact is Osgood still have a 50/50 chance at being our starting goaltender for the playoffs and only he and Babcock can make that decision.

I have mixed emotions on this one. I will reserve judgement until I hear the term and the dollar amount. Make no mistake I want Z signed and I am sure the dollar amount will be fine, I am just concerned about the term with his back.

Babcocks two hottest forwards this year have been Datsyuk and Hossa so instead of having them on the same line he is splitting them up. I think the effort is also there to try and jump start Zetterberg, that and I think that the Wings probably told Hossa he would be playing with one of the two most of the season. I remember reading something about him asking what role he might have on this team last year.

I think he is trying his damnedest to not win another Lady Byng! And as far as rarely the hardest...tell that to the chicago player who got smoked in the face-off circle at the end of the December game!

That is some of the best news I have heard all season....I am cautiously optimistic...I realize it's still a long shot but at least they are talking...that means that at least the feeling of coming back is mutual...if the right deal can be hammered out.

Ok so given the cap crunch this coming season and the fact that everyone is trying to figure out how to keep some combination of players on the team should we have thought better of signing Flip? Feel free to debate!

He looked very good out there tonight...let's hope this is the start of something for him.

Great pics...and a great experience...I do have a question though...could you really follow the game? I figured going would be more about the experience and saying you were there than actually watching the game. It seems difficult to really catch whats going on from the stands since the ice is so far away. Were there any really good views? Thanks for Sharing!

Larrson is great! But I think it makes more sense for Jimmy to be the back up...that's probably all Jimmy will be good for. Larrson will be the starter when the time it right...unless McCollum sneaks up on him.

I voted yes on this one...but for the record at the time I was pretty high on Flip...I thought 3million was an overpayment but I had high hopes.

Because we don't know what Franzen will become, he could be a top 10 Forward in the league, or he could be a product of the enviroment he plays on and have his hot streaks. We already know what Hossa brings and anytime you have the opportunity to lock up a player like him long term you do it. I guess term would be a deciding factor as well...say you can lock in Hossa for 2 years or Franzen for 6 well then I guess you have to go with Franzen but if we are talking long term deals for both I'd be willing to pay a premium to keep Hossa.

This isn't a new topic but Hossa > Franzen Hudler is restricted so he will be back for sure...or we'll get a draft pick in return. Sammuelson can easily be replaced by someone in GR or he can resign for a lower price.

It could have added to stress on his heart.

I guess I welcome the competition in the central division....it was getting loanly at the top.
