Maybe Turco is a closet Wings fan???? That would explain why he plays so well against everyone else and stinks it up against us!
-
Why would the Wings want to bring in another older goalie??? If they decide Howard isn't ready to come up next year they will just bring back Dom. They already know he and Ozzie get along and he'll come cheap, the team likes him. I agree with the majority however it will be Ozzie and Howard in 08-09

From a view standpoint I actually prefer the upper bowl anywhere between the blue lines.... Of course the closer the better. Prices are as follows. 85- First 10 rows of the lower bowl. 76- Row 11 of the lower all the way to the first row of the upper bowl. 55- 2nd Row of the upper till about the 11th row 44- 11 row of the upper to almost the top. 22- The last couple rows of the upper and the corners. I think from a view standpoint the 55 dollar seats between the bluelines are the best value and the best vantage point. Of course sitting on the glass is exciting too but only when the play is in that area.

Homie doesn't equal black....

I don't know why everyone is so up in arms about him wanting to make sure he makes the right decision and gets the most out of his opportunity before commiting to a team. I think that we all assume it's an easy decision to pack up all your things, leave everything you've ever known and move half way around the world to a place you know nothing about and don't speak the language. 50% of americas never move father than 25miles from their place of birth! People are afraid of change. So yes I would want to make sure I was going to not just like, but love my new life in america. Right now he gets the big minutes...his worst fear is probably moving hear, hating it, and riding the bench or playing in the minors. He would probably rather stay in sweden than play like that.

maybe...I don't know what you consider big money, but I think we could sign Hasek next year for about the same as what we will pay Howard (plus bonuses of course, but if you end up paying them, well then it was a good signing...very true but Osgood, Hasek seems to be working this year. DISCLAIMER: I don't expect the Wings to sign Hasek next year...all I am saying is if they did it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. He would have to sign for less than what Osgood got based on his play this year and would be good insurance for the price. Look at Cujo and Calgary and they have Kipper!

I agree like the idiot that got Patrick Sharp 4million a season or the one the managed to get 4million a year for Bert...or the 10 year contract for Yashin that was bought out.
-
Those are my picks, I am probably one of the only ones, but I think that if Dom wants to come back....and is willing to split time with Ozzie and possibly back him up depending on play....I wouldn't mind seeing the tandem one more time.

We can all sit here and speculate that Hasek is done, has nothing left in the tank, can no longer be competitive, and will hang them up this year. The fact of the matter is that only Hasek knows what he has left. And if Hasek believes he can still compete he'll be back somewhere next year. I believe he has too much pride to go out letting people think he played too long. If he hangs them up well then we know that he feels he's done all he can do. Either way he's still one of the greatest of all time, we should be appreciative everytime we get to watch him stop a puck, because when he does decide to hang them up it will be a long time before we ever see a goalie as unorthodox and exciting to watch as the dominator.

Just a suggestion, since the agents are awarded points why not have the points actually mean something. In real life players flock the agents that have the reputation for having the most success signing their clients to the most lucrative deals. So in our league why not allow agents to use their points to "buy" players if they think it will help their overall cause. For example 50pts would allow you to steal any other agents journeyman, 150pts would get you a mid-tier player, and 250pts would allow you to steal a superstar. The plus side would be you get the opportunity to steal a potentially hot client that might be easier to deal, the down side is you have to give us some of your overall pts which effect the ultimate standings, this would help to curve rampant stealing and make it a stragic move. I think adding this element to the game will create another level of realism and excitement for the agents. FYI the agents who's player is getting stolen wouldn't get the pts, the agent doing the stealing would just deduct that total from their overall pts. This would keep players from being stolen back and forth.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what's going on but hell I'll take a team. Put me down for the Islanders IceMunkee is my assistant GM.

I think that Sergi would be worth as much as 2million and I would include some bonuses as well, as least based on his play with Washington this post season.

Fanatic U...GC in the HOUSE!
-
I thought your original post was funny...I was going to say that at this point I think Dom would play for Afghanistan if they'd take him!
-
No...No...Loo, It's ok Ozzie can go...Dom will cover for him.
-
I think he's just snake bit right now, it's not like he's playing terribly he just isn't scoring right now.
-
If I were Kipper, I would file a restraining order....quickly. Against him Mini-Mikka and his Fazur (Father for people who haven't seen Austin Powers. )
-
I think that he's already found a new lease, he's featured on NHL.COM's 4 top stories.
-
LOL good, I know we haven't talked in a while but I didn't want to be on your S**T List.

Everyone seems to want to look at one person for this loss, because well that's the easy thing to do. The fact is Hockey doesn't hinge on one player no matter how bad we want it to. The team needed to play better as a whole. The started playing hockey too late in the third.
-
No I don't think so...where did you get that from?
-
Z did play better in the third but if your asking you best players to be your best players they have to score. He's not the only one that needs to hit the back of the twine, but he is one of the two we expect to do it the most.
-
WOW what a win for the sharks to even the series!
-
Despite his injuries Sid the Kid is determinted to be the NHL's leading scorer one way or another.
-
The only thing Detroit needs to do to win is to match Nashville's intensity.
