Lets take it one game at a time.

Cujo played great, I am happy for him...hopefully he found a home. I hope your wrong on the momentum though, If Calgary wins we would play them next round, and I'd much rather play Colorado or Dallas in round 2. Joe is known as a set up man, he has far more assists than goals, I think the problem is he's not creating space for his teammates to finish.

I also have to agree Hasek flipping Gaborik was awesome!

Did anyone see Avery trying to screen Lundqvist??? It was the funniest thing I've ever seen. Manny said he looked like he was conducting an orchestra. He also said Homer likes to talk to him during the games.

Do you mean a speedy puck carrying team that depends on their D to carry the puck up the ice or make great outlet passes? Sounds kind of like the team he's on now. I do agree however that he's a career 5-6 D-man and the Wings probably have better replacements waiting in the Wings. I like Lebda but Hockey is a business. Edit: On second thought, in thinking about what we have waiting in the arms, none of our D seem to be the speedy skating type. He's playing pretty decent hockey so far this post season but maybe Lilja is the expendable D based on our prospects.

Pierre Maguire is a loathsome human being

I hate the NBC broadcasters in general...they are terribly biased against the Wings. -
6.Corey Emmerton 7. Justin Abdelkader 8. Jan Mursak 9. Kyle Quincey 10. Joakim Andersson What were they're overall rankings?

That's a really cool story, Datsyuk was one of the most approchable players at Training Camp the past two years as well. It's nice that a Superstar like him will do that.

There are too many to name, there are so many every year. I would like to think my favorite memory of the 2008 season has yet to happen. (I know again I am breaking the rules)

So does anyone think it's possible that Fed's will sign this summer as a free agent? I'm sure it's still possible but it's also possible that Washington will ****** him up. He has played pretty well there so far.
-
I will believe it when I see it. Here is to hoping that we can still get him in the D.

Thought I would offer this up as evidence that even the players think good natured ribbing is to be expected and adds to the experience. http://redwingscorner.blogspot.com/2008/04/on-road.html

You can feel bad for Downey, he certainly did stick up for his teammates this year when called upon and played reasonably well with his 4min of ice time a night. But this time of year is about winning games and as much as I dislike Sammy, he's head and shoulders above Downey in skill, Hartigan is a much better skater and as for McCarty well Mac has played 5 games this year (including the post season) has one goal and one assist and is +3, Downey played in 56 games so far this year, has zero goals and only three assists and he's an even zero.

I was one of the people at the Joe Chanting. I chanted "Lets Go Red Wings" I chanted "Bulls***" I chanted "Ellis" and I chanted "Ellis, you suck". I cheered loudly for every goal and hit, I high fived those around me. The Joe Louis Arena was LOUD. I was proud to be there with all the fellow fans and to share in the victory, and I can tell you that the team absolutly knew they had the fans support and that means something to them. If you don't believe me check some quotes from Hasek, Lidstrom, Chelios, and Babcock earlier in the year when they mentioned the empty seats, quiet fans, and the fact that often their away fans are louder than their home fans. For those who want class I will offer you this. I've been to games in Nashville and Columbus. Their fans are as loud as we were yesterday during the regular season. They cheer on their team even when they're down a goal or two, they jeer the visiting team and fans. I applaud them! Hockey is not a gentlemens sport. (Have you seen Slapshot????) It's not golf, it's not polo. I wear a suit to work every single day, and drive a lincoln but when I am at the game I am there to make sure the team knows I am behind them. Face it, the view is better from our HD television's with X-Mo replay. We go for the atmosphere. I will offer one final logical reason why the "___ You Suck!" chant is a good one. When you are heckling the goalie and meerly droaning on with "Ellis, Ellis, Ellis, Ellis" No one knows when to stop and it's not very organized, the 3 times and a you suck seems like the perfect length for a chant. Nice and neat.

"Draper is a Nappy Headed Hoe!" ~Don Imus DISCLAMIER: This isn't meant as a racist post, I am merely making fun of an ignorant pop culture icon and story.

I really like Feds and I am happy for him, I hope the Wings make a push in the off season, but if not I am still happy for him and I hope he does well wherever he plays.

I think it's a sick idea...don't know if it will win the contest though, try doing the same thing to your forehead and I think you've a shoe-in! In all seriousness when do you want to MOD my PS3?

Can we get a 1280x800? Thanks!

It was 1926 for sure. Nice wallpaper though!

Magoo is actually a fair ref...I just think he is a little too by the book. I perfer a ref that lets the players play a little bit more.

I like the Wings in five. It's not possible for the Preds to beat the Wings on their own. The Wings would have to help and I don't see that happening.
